Pretty much everywhere, iss gonna be earthquake.
[sp]He could be dead now.[/sp]
Apparently 30% of the buildings in Haiti were unsuitable for habitation even before the earthquake. Hopefully they'll use this as an opportunity to fix their shit. But that's wishful thinking.

He is dead now apparently, along with the whole studio.
Earth, you racist bitch, i'm gonna throw more shit in your motherfucking sky!
If this happened in america there would be even more victims. Don't imagine houses in america are anti seismic.
They weren't important to YOU. But their families thought they were pretty damn important. Don't act like you're the only one in the world.
Fine, waste your money on people who can't help themselves.

3rd world countries are just putting strain on the west and giving nothing in return.
It's better just to end them.
Inb4"see it for yourself you fag".
I have been to many 3rd world countries through curiosity to see if I should care.
Turns out I don't.
The disaster may have been a good thing. It would give Haiti an opportunity to re-build, and unite under such painful times.

Or for mafia to take over even more.
So basically, you all know of the big earthquake in Haiti that just happened. If you've seen the news, you've seen the pictures of the bodies in the streets. You might have also seen all the gangs with machetes. My view on this is that this would be a near-replica of Somalia back in 92-93. A very poor country is devastated due to something and food and basic nececcities becomes scarce. Certain figures rise up and create groups of people who steal food for themselves. In Somalia, there were tons of UN people. It's the same in Haiti. I think that sometime soon, food will be stolen by warlords and violence will be everywhere in the country.
What are your thoughts about this?
Do you look at EVERY natural disaster and say "oMg ItZ lIeK bLaCk HaWk DoWn L33t oMg DeAgLe iS PWnGe!!1one"?
I was talking to my parents about this.
My mother said they got what the deserve.
"What are you talking about," I ask.
"You don't know? They practice a lot of witchcraft there. Right there on the streets."
Surely she can't be serious, I though. So I laughed.
"Why are you laughing about? It's true," she said.
... :geno:
I hate to say it but in situations like this I have to admit I take an ignorance-is-bliss stance. I'd rather not think about it because it's too damn harrowing.
The Vatican Church described that as being ‘an act of God’ and think that can be taken as an admission of guilt. So I think we should sue him for eighty billion dollars in reimbursement for the damages. Ontop of which the only way he could appeal to the court from the charge is to hire a lawyer and they all work for Satan so the check's in the mail.
man, i feel sorry for those people.
in class today we were discussing it and my friend said they were air dropping medical supplies in and some retard said "give them care packages." and then continued to say, "what's the difference between the USA and America?"
I went to Haiti when I was little, everyone smelled bad.
Yet another informative post.
It's annoying because it's all the news talks about.
I know. I can't watch the frecking news without them talking about the earthquake every 5 seconds. Its so annoying.
But then there is Fox News. :smug:
This earthquake caused an explosion of art from my inner soul. My tribute
"A single death is a tragedy; a million deaths is a statistic." - Joseph Stalin
Very, very true quote. Nice to see people are having sympathy for Haiti during this though.
The Stalin quote isn't semantically true but if you read between the lines it makes perfect sense.
You can't have an emotional connection between tens of thousands of people individually, while you can much easier to one person. Obviously it's a huge tragedy, but the tragedy isn't relative to the body count because we can't - and frankly shouldn't - picture something on this scale with too much intimacy. I see the quote as a monument to that, rather than simply nobody caring about a million people dying.
But then again this is Stalin. I prefer to extract meaning that is useful rather than true to what the author's intentions.
The disaster may have been a good thing. It would give Haiti an opportunity to re-build, and unite under such painful times.
Lol, rebuild.
It's annoying because it's all the news talks about.
Then don't watch the news.
My uncle lives there, and he said that today his supplies would run out :(
And the army will only show up 'maybe' on Monday...
I hope the US stays out of it, we have our own problems and I don't see why we constantly have to do things in other countries. All the money that goes to disaster relief and food for poor third world countries could be used to pick up our own economy.
The same could be said about nearly every bit of spending, including our inflated defense spending (US spends well over that amount daily just for defense spending).
At least this would be going towards something helping the US's image in the Caribbean and the rest of Latin America. It has been pretty low for the past 10 years.
Man this got me reading up on some info about Haiti's past:
basically tons of natural disasters, dictators and cannibal murder gangs.
Also this seems pretty weird: "New graves are guarded or the bodies are stolen to be used in voodoo rituals"
Country seems messed up and I doubt this is going to help it much
It's a shame the whole island didn't just collapse into the ocean :frown:

I'm sure you'd say the same thing if you were standing on it, right?
I feel bad and all, but our fucking english teacher is making us feel bad about the damn earthquake.
Seriously, shut the fuck up.

We had to talk about Haiti in my class, then the teacher put an image of the damage on the board, then someone made the Nelson Ha Ha.

What a dick but...
LOL!
Haiti has so much money flowing in from all the donations. The nation will recover in no time.
I feel bad about not feeling bad.
