And nothing of value was lost. Why do people care? It's a shit hole. It doesn't matter if some people die, they weren't important.
Good point, we should just kill off people who aren't important. Starting with you.
We should not help them, they should take care of themselves.
I feel bad for the families who lost people, but a bigger part of me doesn't care. I'm more amazed at the amount of destruction our planet can cause.

This all could have been prevented if Haiti had fucking building codes, but then what do you expect this is Haiti after all. I can't see them recovering anytime soon from this and all this international aid makes me kinda sketchy. It isn't that i don't want to help them i just believe the money is going to be taken and isn't going to reach the people it is suppose to be helping.
This all could have been prevented if Haiti had fucking building codes, but then what do you expect this is Haiti after all.
You realize that Haiti has an 80% poverty rate, right? I'm pretty sure their daily concerns are more "find drinkable water" and "don't die" than "make sure the building's structure can withstand an earthquake" and "make sure the smoke alarms work."
Fun Fact: Brad and Angie have donated $1 million. The whole of China has given $4 million.
My friend left Haiti a few hours before the earthquake lol
Lol, rebuild.
Does rebuilding sound all that unlikely to you? It is a process that has been repeated millions of times throughout history, with negative and positive results. I find it quite symbolic that the Earthquake damaged the Presidential Palace and the Port-au-Prince Cathedral.
I just don't understand why the people don't just run outside when the earthquake started. I don't know about you but the first impulse I would get while in an earthquake where to get out from under anything heavy.
I donated £80. Earthquakes are a bitch [editline]11:11AM[/editline] Not as bad as tsunami though. Thank god they don't happen as much
If this happened in america there would be even more victims. Don't imagine houses in america are anti seismic.
Don't worry, that's only in movies.
I donated $10 because the guilt that'll overtake me a month later when we've moved on in the middle of the night's going to be a bitch. I find the situation the US is in rather amusing, though. It seems the entirety of SOUTHCOM is now focused on Haiti.
I bought Plants vs Zombies
500,000 dead? God that is pathetic. In America a earthquake can hit our biggest cities and only kill 32 people...........
Obama enlists Bush, Clinton to help on Haiti: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/34893608/ns/world_news-haiti_earthquake This could really help the Aid Campaign.

I have, I know for a fact powerful one can keep you from even standing all you can do is sit on the ground and hold on to something. Plus when you got shit falling down around you people tend to panic. Also running outside wouldn't really help them seeing as buildings are collapsing and it is just as dangerous outside. You pick? Get crushed in your home or get crushed on the street.
500,000 dead? God that is pathetic. You also need to keep in mind Haiti has a large amount of poverty so people don't have building codes or even have the money to build to code. Not every country can be as perfect as the united states of America, also it isn't pathetic it is really tragic and sad.
If i were there I'd be like :regd08: and nuke myself
