I always was a huge fan of ATHF, but couldn't keep up with it starting a few years ago. Why would this episode being leaked be the reason for cancellation?

It wasn't cancelled due to Boston, the adult swim president lazzo wanted to move on from it.
Also Willis wants to have "Death Fighter" the sequel to the first movie on kickstarter to be funded, and there might be a spin off show about carl, but I might be wrong so take this with a grain of salt.

Jesus I can't believe this is the end for ATHF. I kinda want to curl up into a ball and cry.
This show ending, Space Dandy only getting 2 seasons, and Venture Bros going MIA for long stretches of times is upsetting.
It feels certain that Rick and Morty will be around for a while, but I don't understand why they'd get rid of ATHF when the pair work so well together.
