So John Mayer's Born and Raised Is absolutely brilliant. The first track, Queen of California is really nice and Walt Grace's Submarine Test is splendid. On to Joe's: It's an interesting take. It's made mostly of covers and shows Joe's roots rock and blues bases. I'm stilling having a listen, I'm on the sixth track now, and it's amazing. Joe's playing is still as great as ever. ...But wait, there's more! My dad picked up this for me today. TOO MUCH MUSIC AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
the only albums i'm anticipating this year are The Avengers by Alan Silvestri (which already came out and I have it now) and L'Enfant Sauvage by Gojira, which comes out right around my birthday.
Wow he scored it? I didn't know he was doing anything as of late. That John Mayer is interesting, I'll check it out soon.
So this shitty thing called Eurovision is taking place in my country and it is full of pop shit.
Do you even watch the news or are you new to mass media?
Do you even watch the news or are you new to mass media?
Why you ask that?
Eurovision is older than you, yes the music is mostly crap but its a good laugh sometimes.
Wow he scored it? I didn't know he was doing anything as of late. That John Mayer is interesting, I'll check it out soon.
he also did captain america
he also did captain america
Noice. Up til now I was literally only aware of his 80s scores.
To carry on, the three albums I listed: Mayer's Born and Raised, Bonamassa's Driving Towards The Daylight, and the Tedeschi Trucks Band's Everybody's Talkin' are all so amazing. John Mayer really hit home with Born and Raised. Imo, it's better than Continuum. The single, Shadow Days, is a nice insight from John about how that whole fiasco with him and the infamous Playboy interviews have passed, and he's a more mature man now. Shadow Days is probably my favorite track. Joe Bonamassa of course, brings to the table his excellent guitar playing that comes out on everyone of the of the tracks. Joe's album, as I said, is made of mainly covers and two originals. His covers range from Robert Johnson to Willie Dixon and Tom Waits. Dislocated Boy, the first song on the album, is awesome, as well as the second song, the Robert Johnson cover Stones In My Passway. Moving on to the shining gem and live album, Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks' Everybody's Talkin'. Susan and Derek are married and go about playing their music wherever. They're a very jazzy-soul-blues group and are absolutely spectacular. The album is composed of three different live shows, but the electrifying performance from Derek on guitar is not lost anywhere, but you certainly will feel lost in Derek's amazing solos. Derek turns a lot of simple songs in to ten minutes or more with awesome solos. They do this really good cover of Uptight on the second disk. Seriously, if you are looking to try some new music get these three albums. They are all masterpieces.
Just picked up The Dirtball's "Desert Eagle" EP. Holy shit that flow.
Is there any site where I can order the CD?
There's a web release around, but as for CD it looks like a Korea only.
Ok, so a new Matthew Dear album is set to drop soon, and I am psyched! He was one of the first artists I got into. Here's a single.
Just started listening to this. New Queen tribute album by The Protomen. (that cover)
I don't think I'll get that album. I love The Protomen, but that doesn't sound too interesting to me.
I would have preferred an Act III, yeah. These are all pretty good covers though, but I don't listen to Queen so I can't actually tell how they measure up to the originals.

I'm liking Tom Jones' new record a lot http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WvFalfyQ-8w Similar to his last one and a LOT different to anything he ever did before it. He's no longer the Tom Jones people used to forget about.
>music >good
new PiL album released already. gonna hear that shit right after I get my ears on the metal box. also Bob Dylan's "latin" oriented album this year.
this is great not that I was expecting anything but greatness from him though
I promised myself I would get into Shallow Grave before listening to this but Shallow Grave isn't hitting the spot like The Wild Hunt does for me and this new album is extremely tempting. I'll probably pick it up within the week.
