I promised myself I would get into Shallow Grave before listening to this but Shallow Grave isn't hitting the spot like The Wild Hunt does for me and this new album is extremely tempting. I'll probably pick it up within the week.
Shallow Grave is a bit too rough around the edges but I still like it. This one is a bit lighter than The Wild Hunt but great in its own way too

I think after my third listen of The Wild Hunt there wasn't a single track I didn't love.

yep, I think my love for Drum and Bass has rekindled: The last track on here is really wonderful through headphones. Really thumping smooth bass sound. The jungle section is really great. [editline]5th June 2012[/editline] wow.. this is REALLY good for testing low end frequencies on headphones.. I really feel they put them to the test at certain parts.

It's been out for a few months, kind of went under the radar (there's something new) but this is some good stuff.
oh yes.... Chris Robinson Brotherhood's Big Moon Ritual. Chris was the lead singer of the Black Crowes (who are on an indefinite hiatus) and this band spawned from his touring. This album is amazing. The producer was very open and let Chris and the band go in and do what they would usually do at a live show, which is a play a song and then go into freeform jams. The best part is, these songs on Big Moon Ritual are original compositions with the jam sessions built in! The longest track on the album is over eleven minutes (and it's the first), the second longest is nine minutes, and all the other tracks go over the seven minute mark. The album is excellent from what I've heard so far! Since the album dropped today there aren't any tracks on Youtube, but here's the first track in live form.

There's a stream up on itunes, I'm quite tempted to listen to it. But I'm scared it's shit
I listened to the first track and liked it a lot. Now I await my record to get here. Livin' my musical life on the edge, that's how I do it.
I'm gonna get torn a new one for this, but I want to throw it out there; I'm looking forward to the new Black Veil Brides album supposed to be released late 2012.
There's a stream up on itunes, I'm quite tempted to listen to it. But I'm scared it's shit
i'm not a fan of streaming albums, low bitrate. But I can't wait for a good release.
i'm not a fan of streaming albums, low bitrate. But I can't wait for a good release.
Not that I would ever encourage downloading it, but there is definitely a good quality leak available
Not that I would ever encourage downloading it, but there is definitely a good quality leak available
well of course, people could record the stream. But that'll be EVEN lower quality. Until the CD is out, I'm staying put. :)
You should all buy Dick Valentine's album Destroy The Children! Here is a preview!
Neil Young's new album is grand. It's full of classic Americana that has been given the heavy rock treatment that Neil Young and the band are so good at. I didn't feel Le Noise so much, the production was a bit too lavish and whatever, I never felt he needed it. This is stripped to the bare bone and it just feels great. I was not expecting that ending though, I didn't look at the tracklist properly. :v:

Good stuff in here, and check out his earlier work.
