Im really looking forward to Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros new album Here which is released in May.
Colin Edwin released a new solo album 2 weeks ago. Not bad at all. Bass player porcupine tree....
Storm Corrosion. My two favourite musicians (plus my favourite drummer), it has to be the greatest album of all time
Frightened Rabbit things
On December 6th, 2011, Clash Music reported that Frightened Rabbit were planning to record their fourth album, and Scott Hutchison states, "it's written, essentially," noting that they are on the production stage. The article also mentions that Frightened Rabbit has signed to Columbia Records, yet this is currently unclear. Scott states, "We’re experimenting with minor keys, which is actually new for us," remarking upon the idea of a new sound. The fourth album will also mark the first time for the band that it is not Scott Hutchison alone with the task of songwriting, with Hutchison saying that "it's done nothing but benefit the new songs." The album is expected to be released by August 2012.

That was last December, not mid-2011
huh, i'm pretty sure it was around june or august, it felt like it

i cannot wait long enough for this.
The new the Shins album that came out very recently is amazing and worth getting.
oo thank you I didn't know it came out already
The new Unsane album is pretty much the AOTY.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here but this album is slowly growing on me. I didn't really know what to think of it at first, it's lacking most of what makes Ceremony the band they are, but at the same time replaces those things with other things that make sense for them. It's like that surf rock version of Wave of Mutilation, the same vibe, just less intensity. new Paul Buchanan (of Blue Nile) album this year, along with Elton John and Fiona Apple. Year just gets better... also listened to these last week: Have to say I enjoyed them all.. really fresh vibes on each of these. also forgot to mention I listened to this a month back: Really good sophomore release imo. I'm not fully absorbed as much as the first yet, but give it time.

The Saddest Landscape - After The Lights I still need to listen to this but I'm a bit skeptical. I hated You Will Not Survive for some reason, but I'm still holding out hope on this one because I enjoyed Lift Your Burdens High quite a bit.

Ufomammut is going to release two albums this year. It's an album split in two, called Oro. "Oro is the title for Ufomammut’s latest work, divided into ten massive movements overall which is now confirmed to be delivered in two separate pieces during the coming year. The first chapter, Opus Primum, will see arrival in April, and the second, Opus Alter, in September."
