I have to admit that was almost in tears in Hallowed, I was so fucking happy. Happiest I've ever been.
I was further back, but roughly that angle to the stage. They were amazing. It occured to me that with all those giant elaborate props and the fact that they have their own plane, Iron Maiden are like the real version of Dethklok.
Just been to the one in Newcastle, they were excellent.
Seeing them tonight in Sheffield, I can't wait :iia:

if, by and chance you got to the venue early, did you see a ford transit minibus go by with Ed Bus One written on the side?
Yeah I saw them in Glasgow, it was fucking amazing. One of the best concerts I've been to no contest. Possibly the best, so damn great (even if I did manage to lose a couple of my friends before even airbourne came on :v: who were really good too. Saw them last year and I think they were probably better here)
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa i almost caught bruce's hat aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
aw man that's gotta suck.
you could have bought one at the merch stand for £20 though :v:
Saw them in Sheffield last night also, definite highlights would be Fear of the Dark, Coming Home (This was fantastic live) and Hallowed be thy Name. Airbourne also put on a fantastic show, and I'll definitely have to go listen to some of their music now.

My favourite Airbourne song is the one with the powerchords
Also before the gig started people were blowing up condoms and throwing them around; there were like 9 up in the air at one point

Yeah I saw those condoms at the start, pretty funny actually.
And yeah Airbourne songs aren't exactly as complex as Maiden songs, but they put on a great show and their songs were pretty catchy. The thing was that no-one really cheered for them unless of course they mentioned Iron Maiden.
Most of the time I couldn't understand what he was saying. All I heard was "UGHVIOUEHDOVOSHOVHSO IRON MAIDEN" so everyone cheered

that happened with us as well. it was kinda weird. one of them ended up on the stage though
Maiden was one of the first rock bands I ever got into, over time my music taste has changed and become more broad but I've always liked and respected Maiden.
