I live in Canada. Even in the most socially conservative and pro-gun part of Canada, which is where I live, having an interest in that stuff is still weird, as I learned from high school.

Well then you just have to go out and do stuff. A few years ago I didn't do anything specific either other than playing videogames. Well I'm still addicted to the digital crack that is videogames but still. Just think of something that you have always wanted to try and then set out to do it. I don't mean take over the world and become space emperor. (Mostly because that is my plan) Something small, like learning an instrument, trying out a new sport or whatever.
I'm about to buy my first electric guitar and get going with that because I've always liked guitars but never got around to learning it. So I figured why the fuck not?

the reasons people get rejected are a big list of things and are not all down to the fact you like military hardware
its usually because you either 1) have nothing in common with them or 2) they are not attracted to you whatsoever
or a mixture of both

I guess my problem is I want to try to seem more interesting than I actually am but that's something that's hard to fake. I also feel kind of weird with people in my age group because I don't like drinking and partying but that's pretty much what an average 19-20 year old does for fun.

the fact that you happen to be in the same place at the same time as the person you're talking to (especially if it's a class or job or something) already means you have at least a few things in common. maybe you aren't going to end up in an intimate relationship with a random person from your class but that's not what you should be trying for right now until you learn to take care of yourself. just talk to people and stop worrying about where conversations lead, because most of them will lead to dead ends but it doesn't mean talking to the person in the first place was any less worthwhile.
Where am I supposed to find girls who don't have friends? It's literally impossible for me to talk to them if they already gave a friend taking all of their attention.
