Welp started texting this girl at the pressure of a friend who decided she's gonna be my wingman
Okay so she brought up music and we have similar tastes and I am successfully interacting with someone I don't already know, this is an accomplishment

Bad Rats
Apparently the girl I've been talking to had to go through a lot of shit with her family and such, that's why she didn't talk to anyone. I did good though, talked lots with her, she's feeling better overall and managed to ask her out not only on Sunday, but Saturday too, since there's going to be a Japanese event around here and she's really into it. The weirdest thing I did was ask her to play video-games, and while she accepted, when I said that I'd be baking cookies for us she FLIPPED THE FUCK OUT v:v:v and almost came over here right now hahah. To think that I fucked up real bad and I kinda managed to get things together still baffles me.
Just because it isn't a question doesn't mean that you guys can't help, anything I should know after the shit I've done? Could she be possibly forcing herself into liking me?
Though I'll never forget what I did and I regret it every day, can't believe I was so stupid to do that. I clearly learned from my mistakes, sorry if I look dumb in here but I lack experience and I hope to get it not only from you guys, but from myself v:v:v

I thought you said silent hunter at first and I spent like 10 minutes thinking about how a U-Boat simulator is in anyway romantic.

Yeah, Path of Exile is fun- for me and my BF its a big old jumble of "Rat what are you DOING? Come over here! Aaaaargh" on his part and a lot of "What the... whoa.... AAAH! Protect me, please, I don't wanna die!" on my part. I just follow him around and try to kick the butts of anything that comes in our way, but he torches it all with fireballs before I can even get to it. :v:
I just realized that the majority of the interaction me and my BF get is from LAN dates- not going out anywhere IRL, but adventuring to the farthest lands in a video game.
my roommate has been blowing off class by staying up to 6am smoking weed and playing path of exile
its a legitimate problem and ive been talking to his brother about stepping in and doing something about it
"Friend" here. Let's provide some context to the question since he conveniently left out some important details.
Emu seems to believe that having a romantic interest in a girl means you can not have a platonic friendship with them AT ALL, and that to remedy the problem of the "friend zone" as he likes to believe it to be, you must throw them out of your life without a care for what they might say or do. Why? All because they won't have sex with you.
He treats women as objects without opinions or emotions of their own; when he doesn't get his own way he throws a tantrum and says "fuck bitches" (read a few pages back); and he tends to be hypocritical and give the same advice to other people (e.g. myself) that he won't take himself. I think I can safely say he is both fairly egotistical and selfish, blind to the thoughts of others, and that he likes to make himself out to be the victim.
For reference here is some information about the two girls he is asking the above question about:
The girl he likes: known for about two weeks; barely know one another; is single and has stood him up twice; doesn't know how he feels about her.
The girl I like: known for eleven years; is my best friend; is in a relationship and will be for the foreseeable future; knows how I feel about her.
Now I might be wrong, but I'm almost certain you can't compare two cases and say they are exactly the same and treat them the same, with the only similarity between them being that they are both female and both have guys that are interested in them. Maybe the girl he is interested in wouldn't give a damn if they never spoke again, but I can say for a fact that my best friend would.
Don't paint everything as black and white.
Love advice gives a lot of advice like this too. It depends more on you than on the girl. The way it is looked at basically is:
Can you get over her or not.
And no two situations are the same on that. For yourself you seem to be fine dealing with her having a bf, I assume you don't get overly jealous and are looking at other girls as a possibility not just hanging around waiting for her.
Usually the advice to leave the girl and spend time away from her is the better option for a lot of people though. After rejection (or if a girl is just already taken) there are a lot of guys who have a hard time getting over it. Although its more common with break ups it applies to both situations. If the guy can't get over it, usually they will get upset seeing them, cant handle seeing them with other guys, etc. It makes the relationship toxic. Even if they get along he is hurting himself being around her, and it tends to leave a lot of guys comparing every girl to their one they have picked "no one is as good as her" etc.
So its all really just different coping methods, it varies person to person what works for them but if hanging around someone you cant be with is messing you up, its for the better to at least spend some time just not being around them, be that a week or a month or forever.
Its an individual thing. Other people matter but in the end you just gotta do what works for you.
I'm tired of the 'you talk mainly to girls, so you're just trying to pick people up with some sort of sexual intent' attitude people give me all the time.

Anyone else ever get that?
So, I saw the girl I like that stood me up twice today. We were walking in opposite directions and she just screamed out, "Emu, I want you to be my bestest friend. Why won't you be my friend?!" and proceeded to give me a good long ~ten second hug. This was after I kinda bailed on her a while before that. I tried to pull away after like a few seconds, but she said "No, I'm not done giving you a hug." I don't even remember saying anything. I was completely speechless.
So, I have no FUCKING idea what to do. I've been trying to stay away from her because she doesn't seem to be interested in me as much as I'm interested in her and I just can't see her as just being a friend, at least for now. I have a feeling she just wants to be friends, but god damnit do I want more than that.
Just tell her your problem with what she did. No point in beating around the bush or being part of a farce of a friendship.
how do you tell a stinky person that theyre stinky without sounding like a dick?

come on guys help me i don't wanna be a dick
This has always been an issue for me. I could never figure out how to say it.
There was this guy in high school that never wore deodorant to P.E. and stood too close...holy fucking shit.
How do you tell someone they stink?

You tell them they stink. Kinder to tell them than let them keep doing it unknowing (most people cant smell themselves)
In situation like locker room, offer them deodorant or whatever.
I offer people mints regularly for their breath :v:
The worst is my roommate who smells even after he showers, he's just that bad.
Haha, the guy who delivered pizza to my house recognised myname from primary school and a couple of adventures during early high school and hugged me. Shit was cash.
What kind of adventures.

When we were fourteen, he as well as our friend Joe and I went down to the local swimming hole and built a sweet as hell tree house on top of one of the trees overhanging the river. You could stay there overnight, or you could jump straight into the river. We spent the entire day there building it, swimming and getting sunburnt and then when the sun went down we went home and ate nachos. The tree house is there now, kids jump out of it still. The kids that use it now call it 'Nails' because of all the nails in the tree and I'm proud it's part of their high school shenanigans as well. I think that counts as an adventure. They were great times, in any case.
Ugh it wasn't a good idea going out drinking last night while I had the squits, my stomach feels absolutely terrible now

Isn't that just a normal part of teenage life?
Well I did talk to the blue-haired girl's friends, sadly I didn't ask her anything about her. I would say this is a great start to work with now that I'm volunteering at a coffee shop at my school, attending a club, and going to tutor. My life is packed.
My god, you guys were right, her friends told her she does have blue pube hair! I guess you can say me and her friends are all cool now.
