Ye, could just be pubertous! I had pretty oily skin when I was fifteen, sixteen too. Pretty much all cleared up now, though! I still get a couple of forehead pimples every now and then, and I have a big red nose that's susceptible to blackheads if I don't go medieval on it with a bath sponge in the shower, but on the whole I've got a pretty decent complexion now. Just thoroughly scrub your face every day to minimize the pubertous oily skin phase, and wait it out for a while. You'll clear up!

If it's REALLY bad, bring it up to your doctor and he can get you the big guns.
I fucking love reading this thread because it's extremely funny to me how you guys talk about relationships.
Congratulations BDA, hope it will keep going well but wow she's tiny haha!
4'9 and barely 90 pounds?! How tall are you and whats your weight, if I may ask. Your nickname gives me a vision of a seriously tiny girl paired up with a big teddybear guy haha.
And I'm really curious to see if it's true or not, keeps eating at me.
I'm 6'5 myself, and my girlfriend always feel like a midget (her words, not mine) next to me, and she's 5'4
Have you tried lotion?
Also try taking slightly warm showers instead of red hot showers. Use electrical heat and not gas heat in your house, gas heat causes dry air which causes dry skin.
Whoops thought you said dry skin. for grease, try to keep hair out of your face. Theres not too much else you can do. Oh, and try to stop touching your face.
A lot of the same things apply, if your skin gets agitated by being dry it will product excess oils to accommodate, making a bit of a cycle.
What face cleansing stuff are you using? I find I usually just need to get my face a quick wash a few times a day to remove all the sweat and oils anyway.
Sunlight helps a lot with acne and skin issues, try going outside more if your an indoors type.

I'm 6'6", and currently 190 lbs, so pretty much, yeah! The height difference is going to be very fun for both of us, especially with our kinda relationship. I'll be able to pick her up, throw her around, or hold her down without breaking a sweat.

How effective is birth control? CWG is on it, and told me she doesn't mind if I go in bare. Obviously, I would be pretty amenable to that, since we're both clean, if it weren't for that little nagging voice of pragmatism. I've never thrown the condoms to the wind before, and am totally curious about it. Is birth control ironclad enough to go without a wrap, free in body and spirit, or is there a big enough hole in that defense to make condoms an unfortunate necessity?
This is the best place I could find, what do you guys use to keep your skin nice? My face is kind of "oily". I've washed it with water and some "cleansing" soap stuff for some time but it really doesn't work. It's not like, terribly bad or anything, I just wish I had nicer skin.
The rest of this thread is going to think i'm batshit crazy but I swear this works. I haven't used soap on my face in about 4 months. I used to have the worst fucking skin problems and had self-esteem issues because of this, ever since I changed my skin care routine I've consistently looked great (except for when that time of the month rolls around, but that can't be helped).
I wash my face with oil twice a day. Yes, oil. I have a bottle that contains 50% olive oil and 50% castor oil. I rub it into my skin for about 30 seconds and then hold a steaming hot washcloth over my face to open my pores before wiping it off. The oil will suck the dirt out of your pores. Using soap constantly just dries out your skin - all that accomplishes is it causes your skin to overcompensate and produce more oil.
Look up "oil cleansing" if you're curious - there's some material about it online. All I can say is that it works for me, not only is my skin clearer than it ever was before but I don't have issues with my skin getting dry etc anymore.

It's completely effective as long as the person is using it properly. The only issues with it come from human error.
Basically it works by preventing the woman's ovaries from releasing eggs by evening out the amount of estrogen in their system. If she's consistently taking it then there won't be any chance for conception because an egg will never end up in her uterus to begin with.

But I would strongly recommend you both get tested for STDs first just to be safe. Even if you think she's clean, you haven't exactly known each other for that long - it would suck if you picked up something nasty.
I started washing my face with soap every day (and tried to stop touching my face) a few weeks ago and my acne is pretty much completely gone already so it does work
Thanks guys for being so helpful and nice. It isnt bad enough for me to do the oil cleansing. Ill do the steaming towel though.

Mine wasn't *that* bad, but the problem with soap is that it dries out your skin.
It wouldn't hurt to try it a few times and see if it helps. Oil is great for clearing out your pores without having the side effect of drying your skin. It's very harmless compared to other products. I completely ditched using soap or any sort of chemical on my skin so I don't have issues with my skin alternating between being too dry or too oily anymore. For me it's literally just a gentler substitute for soap or other cleansers.

Everybody's different. Just because you can use regular soap without issues doesn't mean that will work for everyone - it certainly didn't work well for me. Usually when people are seeking advice on skin care, hearing "just keep doing what you're doing" isn't going to help them that much.

Are you my nose?
Wait seriously, do you have any super good tips for issues just like this?
a few days ago there was a thing on imgur going on (yes fuck my life i waste time on imgur)
anyway this thing consisted of someone claiming there was a way to get rid of blackheads quickly, which consisted of mixing salt and toothpaste and scrubbing it against whatever area and leaving it for some time before washing it off.
Dunno if it works, or if it was some kind of joke like the magnet on the hdd
did you bother to fact check it?
it would have probably taken less effort than for you to type out that post.

I saw that too and it's literally the worst idea ever. It will just DESTROY your skin. Toothpaste on its own (not sure about salt) will technically get rid of acne, but it's known to leave scarring which looks much worse than the acne did in the first place.
Somebody else posted a better guide with things that actually work but I don't think it got noticed as much. The other guide recommended using mineral oil (which is basically the same as what I'm recommending) but I'm not sure what else.

I just got kind of a rough bath sponge and some cleansing face wash stuff. When I hop in the shower, I cream up my face, and then scrub it off with the wet sponge. Keeps the pores clean!
I'll have to buy my own scrubber and facial cleaning stuff, any scrubber and brand/type of face cleansing stuff recommended? My problem is mostly a dry skin, my skin is really dry and I take steaming hot showers which just dries it even further so I get a lot of redness in the face.

The better idea would be stop taking such hot showers. I do the same thing and its terrible for your skin

i dunno, I went like this >< ><

googling it doesnt help because everybody claims it works. So it probably works, but if theres any damage afterwards who knows. Pinching can also get rid of your blackheads but that doesnt mean its recommended.
then what are you doing opining it in threads then lmao
Thorough washing with an actual cleanser can get rid of your blackheads, too, so why not just go that route instead of playing cosmetologist? Blackheads are just oil and dirt trapped in larger pores, exposed to the air. Unlike pimples, blackheads are external, which means they can be removed fairly easily just by scrubbing. Some people just have larger pores, which are more prone to collecting oil and dirt, and so need to be cleaned more thoroughly and more regularly.
If you are looking for something a little more homeopathic, I would recommend honey. Put some on your finger and dab at your blackheads. The sticky honey will pull most of the grime right out. Plus, it smells nice. However, there's no substitute for simply taking a bath sponge and a proper off-the-shelf facial cleanser/exfoliator and giving a light scrubbing.
Just fucking cum on your face and eat it when it dries up. Thatll get rid of them
Ew dude that's tough.

I have a noticeable anxiety since months ago, and by noticeable I mean my head starts to shake a bit (less than a second, but periodicaly) uncontrollably whenever I'm at the bus stop or attending shows, being with a lot of people who I've seen a lot but they are still strangers to me. I've tried not thinking about the anxiety whenever it kicks in by thinking about other cool stuff and by breathing deeply and slowly. However these solutions doesn't work for me and it just gets worse when there are a lot more people, having the fear of going batshit insane. Friends say I have to relax, some say it comes from very low self-esteem. I'm trying to find the cause, but I think it's really the low self-esteem issue. Whenever I do/say something and a dude doesn't like it I change my mind pretty fast. I don't stand for anything and I don't even know what I really like, what I really want to do.

What are medical costs where you are? Your best option is to try to get a psych, they will be able to help you figure out cause and solution a hell of a lot better than your friends or us. May even be able to throw you some not too terrible meds if needed to get you started down the road :v:
Alright, this is probably going to sound really stupid or something, but I can't get over my ex.
Let me clarify, my ex from LAST YEAR.
She broke up with me saying she need some time to herself and it didn't really bother me much, but then about three months later I started missing her again. Now it's been a year and when valentines day came by, it was really bad. I don't get attached to pretty much anything, but for some reason I just can't get her out of my head recently. Does anyone know anything I can do to just like, move on?
go look for someone else
man i think we should have an FAQ in the OP
go look for someone else
I disagree, if you're hung up on an ex it usually shows. Might be fine, but other than that I would suggest trying to move your life forward in other areas as well - pick up a new hobby or work on improving yourself in some way. If you're still exactly the same person and in the same situation that you were when you ended your relationship, it will be a lot harder to detach from it.
crypto's two cents on acne treatment
if you've only got black and whiteheads, sure just do home remedies
but if you've got any form of cystic acne (they're bigger than a single pore), consult a skincare professional
So Cute Weeaboo Girl wants to introduce me to her best friend before we hit the hotel for the weekend, because they're really super close, and she really super digs me. Her friend is "Elton John on Ecstasy" gay, and (perhaps as some kind of test) has determined that the ideal location for us all to be introduced is a male beauty pageant. So before I get to take my girlfriend on a romantic getaway for the weekend, I will have to sit through a couple hours of watching dudes way more attractive than I am strut around in tiny clothes. I wonder what he's trying to tell me?

Probably: "Can You Feel the Love Tonight?"

That sounds amazing.
I have really bad issues where if I text a girl and she doesn't get back to me within a couple hours I assume that she's ignoring me on purpose and the longer I've been waiting the anxiety gets worse and worse. And it really confuses me because when i talk to her in person she always seems really happy to talk to me but if I text her she either wont respond or take like 5 or more hours to respond and since I have such a long history of rejection it just makes me assume the worst every time.
