When you're clueless about what to do in a relationship or how to be attractive you'll inevitably have to make some mistakes and take some risks. Everyone here that has some experience in relationships has made at some point stupid mistakes they regret, big deal. Well at least they did something and the important thing is that you learn from it and let your mind reflect upon what went wrong and how it really works. Maverick's advice are not the Holly grail but they have a hint of truth and a people can find a common place here and there. If you're going to read them through and be fundamentalist about them as to any advice here, as clueless as you may be, than you're an idiot who don't know how to digest what he reads with criticism. In the end, how you act based on X Y or Z it's your responsibility and not Maverick's. Well now that Rusty has finished his psychoanalysis of me, we can get back to stuff that actually relates to the thread. The work situation is getting pretty ridiculous. A little bit out of control at this moment, though I can't be assed to turn on the jets and actually try to handle everything. Speculation is that the girl who was head over heels for me noticed me being friendly with the hot girl and got butthurt, starting a rumor that the hot girl and I were talking. Now hot girl is upset (not with me though) because she wanted it to stay hush-hush since she's in line for a management position. She was gonna pull the, "We should stop talking," shit but I threw some solid logic at her and changed her mind. Still don't know either of them well enough to lock myself down on one or the other so I'm gonna have to think of a way to convince head over heels girl that I'm not with hot girl without actually saying it outright, cause then she will know something is up. Right now, I'm considering just holding the fort and doing nothing until the situation blows over. Surely she'll think she's wrong if I just act like nothing has changed for long enough.

So, people. How do I interact with people I want to make friends with? I can talk to people and shit, but most of the time it's if someone starts to talk to me instead. (I do break the silence barrier now and then, though) It's just really weird for me to start talking to people that I don't know when I'm in a sober state. It's.. too random for me. I got around it by having the little awkward chat with them, getting their name, then adding them on facebook. Then invite them to a party or some kind of group gathering. It's tough for me to make friends with someone one-on-one, which is why most of my friends are female. There's nothing sketchy about inviting a female over and hanging out as just the two of us, but it's kinda weird (see: homo) to invite a dude you hardly know to come over and watch a movie.
