I'd pound her hatchet wound reguardless of shitty taste in music/clothing
I was totally about to make a post about how I would tap that.
I'll cut more than their hair.
oh be nice, they're adorable

d'awwwwww, look at how long that hair and makeup probably took to apply! :3
I don't think I'd tap that, though.
I'd pound her hatchet wound reguardless of shitty taste in music/clothing
You're so hardcore.
I still would pound both of their slits
[editline]12:43PM[/editline]
You're so hardcore.
Right, because expressing my feelings towards making sexual relations with some picture of a scene girl means I'm trying to be hardcore
Try more.
When you see a kid dressed in black
Grab a weapon and attack
Yeah, that's the difference between people with good taste and bad taste for you.
"Sup guys my opinion is better than yours. If you don't have the same taste as me, then yours is bad."
[editline]05:50PM[/editline]
I really hate this band. All the stupid emo/scene kids in my school (well before I graduated) listened to this band. They really should learn what real metal is, or at least listen to good christian metal, like As I Lay Dying.
So you don't like a band, because people you don't like, listen to the band? Uh, okay.
Makes sense to me.
Makes sense to me.
Makes perfect sense to me. I don't want to associate with the people that listen to posicore, so I don't listen to posicore. Sure, I like some of the bands that are posicore, but I avoid most of it simply because of the fans. How does it not make sense? I think it's perfectly fine to not like a genre because of the people who associate with it. I genuinely don't like most metalcore, but even if I did, I wouldn't listen to it simply because of the fans. I'm gonna side with enjoi on this one. Generic metalcore and generic metalcore fans suck.
Very, very generic metalcore. The fact that it's christian metalcore just makes it so much worse.
summed it up
Their music really sucks in my opinion, hell I don't even know where to start.
I'm not a fan of music you can't understand, unless it's legit, like Slipknot, or Metallica. :P
Slipknot is not "legit" ):
I dunno the correct term, I like Slipknot though. D:
Ew, Metalcore.
My brother listens to them and I hate it because he tries to fucking sing when he can't.
They're Deathcore/Grindcore according to rhapsody, there's tons of better metalcore.
Deathcore is actually pretty uncommercialized
And I want metalcore to mean something again. I want to be able to describe bands like The Cro-Mags, Cruel Hand, The Mongoloids, Madball and related bands as metalcore. Because that's what they are. Metallic hardcore. But now metalcore means black hair, whiney choruses and melodic riffs. It pisses me off.
Deathcore is pretty commercialized. It's ridiculous how easy you can become big in the deathcore/metalcore scene. Random ass bands come out of nowhere with names like As Forests Bleed or Blaze The Heart or some shit like that. They put out one album and the record labels scoop them up.
Deathcore and Metalcore are popular because they are commercialized forms of metal which is anti-commercial and companies see this and see that they can make profit of the large amount of people who are very impressionable to trends.
Seriously, if I wanted to, I could easily make a deathcore band that could catch on. And I'm a hundred percent serious. The music is formulaic and bland, but is disguised to sound good to untrained ears.

Nono, I know your serious, but the reason why deathcore and metalcore got so popular is because now it's about fashion. The very few bands that I listen to that are still deathcore/metalcore, most of them look like regular dudes. See: Beneath The Massacre, The Acacia Strain, Burning The Masses, Bleeding Through (They went through a slight fashion phase, but they quickly pulled out of that, and are wearing cool clothes now.)

I realise there are exceptions. There are always exceptions. I've never believed that EVERY metalcore/deathcore band is bad. In fact, a few are actually decent. Lamb of God is decent. Zao is pretty cool. It's just like I've never believed that all rap/hip-hop is bad. Frankly, I just haven't listened to all metalcore/deathcore, so I can't make a judgement that all of them are bad. But I have listened to quite a few bands and the majority of metalcore/deathcore is commercial, formulaic, and generic. They all use such common cliches. In fact, the whole ideology and evolution of the genre, literally make the bands predisposed to being bad.
The genres are popular because they appeal to people who have seen the actual metal community, but want something that they have more common ground with. Seeing as how metalcore is an evolution of hardcore, and has more elements of that and emo(not the populists definition of emo, ACTUAL emo) than they do with metal, it is easy to see how the same group of people who originally liked emo/screamo/hardcore, have moved onto metalcore, and sometimes deathcore.
And the biggest common factor in all those genres are commercialism.
What.
Double what.
Also all the kids at my school listen to them. The two "cool" types of music there are screamo/hip-hop, and not the good kind either.
Uhm.
They're Christian, and they're from Ohio.
They're music is Christian, I mean.
PS don't like music because it is Christian, like my brother did when he was super religious.
Nah, I don't. I just like them because I know it's not "PISSRAPEFUCKRAAWRRR" and as generic as it may be, it's not as tough on the ears as other metal. Like I said before, I like them because I'm just getting into the whole modern metal thing, and they're not too heavy on me.
Where did the scene kid argument come from? D:

I understand what you're saying but if you haven't noticed every scene tool to exist likes them.

woahwoahwoah you best not be calling hardcore commercialised
I understand what you're saying but if you haven't noticed every scene tool to exist likes them.
I haven't noticed actually.
I'm not what you would call scene, and the friend who showed them to me isn't scene either.
I talked to a scene girl and asked if she liked them, she said to go listen to Dying Fetus instead.
That's obviously not a scene girl then.
I'm not going to post her picture, but she's got it going for her.
And besides, not every scene kid fits the generalizations given to them.
It's like saying jocks are all jerks, it's not necessarily true.
They're Emo?
The songs I heard so far didn't have teen angst.
They personally sound freaking awesome to me.

No, they're scenester mallcore.
My brother and all his emo friends like this band, they're fucking terrible.
I used to despise this band back when I listened to Insane Clown Posse...
But now that I don't listen to shitty music anymore, I took another listen.
They're actually not bad at all.
Scenesters listen to annoying Brokencyde shit. Devil Wears Prada is just metalcore. I don't understand what's so "terrible" or "trendy" about them. If you want to talk about overrated trendy bullshit talk about John Mayer or something.
Random fact to all those who think screaming should be completely abolished from music: Helter Skelter by The Beatles has screaming in it, as do many Pink Floyd tracks.
Considering the people who hate screaming usually hold those bands as gods...

In this thread kids hate a band because of the fanbase.
