I'm not serious, I think she has a very strong point and that people should do like her and complain if they are experiencing racism, sexism, objectification, etc because people don't realise how often it occurs, it's not being properly recognized.

Her first two albums aren't that fab but visions was rly good if a bit bloated
I feel really bad for her because the media has obviously built up this 'weird girl' image which she doesn't want at all that'd be such bullshit if I were in her position

the media hasnt built that image, it is the image she (and her label) constructed for herself lol. that is how she wants to be seen. no one is forcing her to take press photos, no one is forcing her to use "wacky" album art. being treated as a weak woman that cant do anything on her own is one thing, having your bullshit marketing "image" judged is another

Yeah I guess there are parts of it that she should probably not be complaining about in the end, she does tends to reinforce that 'quirky' image quite a lot and it probably contributed a lot to her recent success
but the assumptions about her being weak or needing support or help is 100% preconceptions about her sex and it really pisses me off that that is still a thing in the music industry
one of the things I really don't like how everyone goes on about her liking lil wayne and justin bieber and shit as if its a sin or some kind of weird surprise
