It's more regulated here than most European countries, actually.
Personally, I believe banning things like drugs, food, etc is stupid. Why punish the majority over a minority? I eat junk food. All the time. But I'm healthy, because I'm not an idiot and I exercise, and I also eat healthy foods.
It's like wanting to ban videogames because some people get too addicted and die from not sleeping and just consistently play a videogame over the span of a week.
There are idiots in this world and they will find out how to do something unhealthy with anything and everything you could possibly conceive of.

Trying to stop people smoking cigarettes is actually good (a lot of people who smoke don't want to, and are unable to stop). Peer pressure and addiction is pretty much what keeps the industry going.

It's also going to be colder in the dish, and the oxygen concentration may vary more. Not to mention much more light and potentially UV to contend with. All these factors can lead to cells that'd be weaker than they would normally be inside the body.
