My most listen to genres though are:
Classic rock
Folk Rock
EDM (usually more specifically Progressive House, drum and bass, and trance, but quite literally almost all electronic music)
Ska (2nd and 3rd wave)
and i love ambient.

I stick to rock generally, though I'm pretty varied within that scope. I can like some hiphop/rap (OFWGTKA :(.) and electronic stuff (Aphex Twin, Royksopp) but I always go back to rock.

Because its like if you take a song, change the pitch, and add reverb its suddenly a completely different genre that fans will kill you over for mistaking it for another genre.
It's like "man i love this drum and bass song"

Calling it all "techno" is so annoying, I also really hate the term "edm" since it's kind of a blanket term and it just sounds dumb

There are over 75 sub genres of electronic music, EDM essentially condenses almost all of the genres into one broad category.

Just posting a well known example. Walk isn't my favorite song by Pantera, I just know that people would recognize that song more than any other example I could come up with.

Well. Long night of drinking on Whyte Ave.
Somehow, my excellent night turned to shit at the end. Now just sitting here. Kinda drunk.
Buddy "G" bugged my cousin and guilt tripped him to hell and back for not joining us on Whyte. "G" knows my cousin more then me - and can call him on his BS, and did. Made me feel like shit standing around watching it.
We; me my brother and "G" went to my brothers places to watch tv and end the night. "G" gets tired and drives himself home. Me and my brother are left so I decide to call it a night and call for a ride home. Five minutes later my cousin shows up at my brothers door. We talk for about five minutes then my ride shows up and I had to boogie.
My cousin looked somewhat defeated. Bullied till he showed up, then everyone leaves. I feel so bad. And I feel no better seeing and reading it in text as I write it.

i just call the genre and all it's subgenres "electronic" because that's what they're all derived from to a degree.
