American Express sucks, I got a prepaid card on one of my rebates for a computer part and like hardly anywhere that I wanted to spend it online takes it.

Paypal, Google Checkout, Amazon Payments, and Skrill all accept amex, that's like 9/10ths of the internet.
If you're over 18 why are you even in here?
people who are over 18 can't browse a forum from time to time oh ok
Why don't use your bank account's card and a ATM?
What I usually do when I want to buy a game from steam store is:
1: Mention my dad I want to buy something:
2: Go to the bank, get the amount of money for the product.
3: Open store page, and then it comes.
4: Have my dad to pay, and then I give him the money.
Everyone should do it like this.
NEVER EVER buy one of these:

Or probably anything on the same rack as them.
My mom got my bro and I these, and little did she know, they had all sorts of hidden stupid fees, including fees to simply "cancel" the card.
Makes me wonder how anyone ever falls for something as dumb as a prepaid card with a bunch of hidden fees to chip away at your money. What kind of person buys into that?
Oh, right, ignorant poor people who don't even have a checking account. Or, ignorant children who aren't old enough for a checking account but want to buy shit from the internet.
As it is evident in the picture, there was a $3.95 purchase charge.
But there was also:
50¢ per transaction
Dormancy fees
$10 cancellation fee
Bunch of other bullshit fees
Literally designed to make poor people poorer if they were stupid enough to buy one.
What exactly do you mean with "I can now spend 3x!"?
I almost thought youd explain a hack how to use a prepaid card three times. Im disappointed now.

Why would anybody want to cancel a prepaid card?

Once you spend everything on it, it obviously has no use, but it you don't cancel it, there are reoccurring monthly fees.
It's once of those reloadable cards. Pretty much aimed at people too poor or lazy to not have some sort of bank account.
Don't those coinstar machines let you get prepaid cards without the activation fees?
