Morgan's Spiced is probably my favorite, Glenfiddich is quite nice aswell.

Don't get tricked by the pretty Smirnoff bottles, it's shit vodka and you can get so much better for less money. Eristoff with Redbull/Burn. You can make a drink or a shot, depending on how you would like to mix it. The shot is called a Flügerl, you throw it over your shoulder without looking after you are done drinking. (If you want to stick to the tradition/just make chaos) Jägerbombs are also great and fun to drink. Jack Daniel's and cola is nice too, remember ice. To the people drinking Captain Morgan, please try something different. It is a massive pussy drink atleast where I live, especially because it's like the discount brand of rum. Just thought I'd give some tips, the young Americans suck at drinking. :)

Some things are just too strong for pretty much anyone. When we're talking 60-70% alcohol and up things might/will get too strong regardless of their age.

Out of interest, what kinda of cider did you try that found horrible? The cheap stuff like Strongbow or worse Frosty Jacks or white 'cider'. The decent stuff generally has a wide enough range of flavours and strengths to suit anyone, unless you really don't like sweet stuff. (and even then, some of the particulary drier ciders...)
