Where can I start this process?!
I'm pretty serious!
dont worry OP Ron Paul says the church will take care of you :downs:
I wish I could tell France's health care is awesome and shit but seeing how we can hardly keep it up correctly because of funding problems...
That's not just France, it's pretty much the entirety of Europe.
ameeeerica oooo ameeeericaaaaaaa
But guys socialism is bad. Guys guys you're not guys socialism its bad
Most people, as I said before, fear it because they don't really know what socialist healthcare ensures. It's easier to sit back and let the government spoon-feed you lies. Ask any American on the streets what capitalism truly means. They'll most likely have nothing to say. American's defend capitalism because that's what the government tells them works. Like I said, people blame religion for reducing logical thinkers, but he true culprit is politicians.
Gotta love Finland. Last summer I had spontaneous Pneumathorax (your lung gets a hole, pumps air in the lung cavity which creates pressure that makes the lung collapse). So I was in the hospital and the cost was only 1300 € which the insurance company I'm covered under took care of. But if I were in America I bet had a hospital cost of 5000 $ and then having the insurance company say that they wouldn't cover it due to my asthma.
In case anyone was wondering, it's an AC separation on my shoulder joint. I can play in probably another week or two.
Go to Canada.
Go to Canada.
Yes
What healthcare system?
That's not just France, it's pretty much the entirety of Europe.
Can't really tell, don't know much about these. If big corporations stopped fucking with the healthcare system and in overall taxes we would get enough money to fund the damn thing. Fucking fraud.
I've got school in about 20 minutes so I'm going to cut this short. I'm basically uninsured, I mean sure I have blue cross but it does not cover anything in my area. To visit a doctor that they will 'cover' I have to drive an hour and a half away. My dad is unemployed (Michigan sucks atm) and my mother is dead, my step mom is a nurse and we barely scrape by, I have tried getting on my step mom's plan but I'm not her biological son so therefore I guess I don't fucking matter as far as the insurance companies care. I goto football practice and I'm running the ball, get hit pretty hard and I dislocate my shoulder, it popped back in when I stood up and holy shit I almost passed out from the pain it was so intense. Fast forward to 4 days later, I can barely move my arm still, luckily I still have a sling from a few years back so I immobilize my arm and try to take care of it. I tell my parents what happened and they would take me to the hospital but they simply can't pay for it. I'm pretty sure I tore my rotator cuff but I can't do jack shit about it because blue cross doesn't "cover" anything the hospital does around here. Meaning my parents would have probably close to a $5,000 bill for an MRI, X-Ray, I'd probably need physical therapy, and god fucking forbid I need surgery that would be probably another $5,000 on top of it all. So basically I'm fucked, I really wish that America had universal health care because this isn't the first time these things have happened. I've broken multiple fingers, I've been sick as a fucking dog and all I get to treat it with is some anti-biotics we saved from the last visit. fuck.
Welcome to Obama's healthcare plan. I feel your pain. (Not literally.) One question - if your fingers are broken, are they broken on both hands?
bro i got a 1289$ bill for a 3 hour trip to the hospital good luck
I love the NHS !
Why are the police and fire services in the U.S free but healthcare isn't? Because the U.S would rather spend hundreds of billions of dollars on their millitary just to secure their position as a global superpower and police the world. Fucking republicans and bush. "oh but we need to defend ourselves from the terrorists" All of that bullshit started after 9/11 and it was used as an excuse by the bush administration to go invade Iraq and start this stupid afghan war. IMO those dumb republicans and their dumb values are why the U.S is 14 trillion dollars in debt. Spending trillions on their military when they could have spent it on growing their economy and heath care.
what in the flying fuck to firemen and police have to do with securing a position as a global superpower
That's not just France, it's pretty much the entirety of Europe.
Man there's a massive abuse of the health care system in France, with people that like go see 7 or 8 doctors + 1 specialist in the same day for the exact same thing.
what in the flying fuck to firemen and police have to do with securing a position as a global superpower
they work for the g'vmnt and obama nazi conspiracy communist
Just get imprisoned, they have better health care than us on the outside do.
America, where scum get better health care than honest citizens [editline]19th September 2011[/editline] I don't understand.Obama wanted to have free universal healthcare of whatever(I'm young I don't know shit :( ) why didn't it get approved or whatever(I don't know how the world works.I wish they teach us about these things a bit earlier)
The US Healthcare system fucks everyone over.
I wish I could tell France's health care is awesome and shit but seeing how we can hardly keep it up correctly because of funding problems...
I believe France's health care debt is (slowly) stagnating though, so hopefully it'll resolve within a few decades
Honestly, you really shouldn't be playing a full contact sport if you have no health insurance... But this is kind of crazy still. Why don't you spend a day to drive out of town to a place with coverage?
I think the UK health system works really well. I know there are a lot of horror stories, but when I got shingles I got put on valcyclovir straight away (£700 a box), all paid for by the NHS.
I feel for you bro. People bitch about the NHS, but at least they do something..
Welcome to Obama's healthcare plan. I feel your pain. (Not literally.) One question - if your fingers are broken, are they broken on both hands?
I've broken four or five fingers and dislocated two, some at different times than others ofc.
I though it was bad when we moved from the UK to Australia that we had to pay to go to the dentist's
Isn't Rick Perry against Universal Healthcare?
what in the flying fuck to firemen and police have to do with securing a position as a global superpower
Well you kinda need order to be even close to anything other than underdeveloped. And you need fire departments to.. put out fires. [editline]18th September 2011[/editline]
Isn't Rick Perry against Universal Healthcare?
They all are.
Although I live in Canada, I have had 2 torn rotator cuffs for about 3 years now. Sucks shit man.
I wish I could tell France's health care is awesome and shit but seeing how we can hardly keep it up correctly because of funding problems...
That's a problem with you conservative-leaning government failing to provide adequate funds, not a problem with the system itself. [editline]19th September 2011[/editline]
Although I live in Canada, I have had 2 torn rotator cuffs for about 3 years now. Sucks shit man.
Does it affect your daily life? If it's painful get a referral to a specialist who'll be more able to book a surgery/whatever than a family doctor can.
