• Will We Ever Run Out of New Music

The opinion that there is more bad music today and less good is an illusion. There was a lot of crap in the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's but crap music doesn't live for very long, and so it's the good music from those times that we recognize the eras by today. It's easier to find good music from those times because the bad stuff has already been forgotten and has disappeared over the time, while "today" the good stuff is up there with the bad stuff and won't be filtered out for another 10+ or 20+ years. [editline]25th November 2012[/editline] So yeah it takes more effort to find good music from the current time, but that doesn't mean there is less good music today. [editline]25th November 2012[/editline]
I don't really listen to radio at all, 9 times outta 10, it's generic pop or songs about romance or sex people think thy can relate to despite often being single.
It's funny because pop songs were always about romance or sex.
I don't really listen to radio at all, 9 times outta 10, it's generic pop or songs about romance or sex people think thy can relate to despite often being single.
uh what was motown again
Why does a theory on "will we ever run out of new music" have to provoke an argument about popular radio hits
Why does a theory on "will we ever run out of new music" have to provoke an argument about popular radio hits
Any music-related thread outside the music section will spark an argument about modern music.
Any music-related thread outside the music section will spark an argument about modern music.
Any music-related thread within the music section will spark shitposting about shit that doesn't have any relevance to music at all.
Any music-related thread within the music section will spark shitposting about shit that doesn't have any relevance to music at all.
Nah, any music-related thread within the music section will spark an argument about how every band ever is terrible
I don't think we'll ever run out of music when you take into account that stuff like this is still very much music:
in the future music will only consist of noise
in the future music will only consist of noise
and people will say that passenger of shit was so much better than all those new, mainstream noise bands on the radio.
"dude merzbow was the best" "lmao you listen to dadnoise"
I miss when songs were about something other than different things related to static, like how people staple tapeworms to their penises (I staple tapeworms to my penis, Passenger of Shit), how feminism is cool (Anti-Orgasm, Sonic Youth) , A badass variation of math (Minus Zero, Merzbow) and a rollercoaster of guitar-rape styles in the span of few minutes (The Burning Spear, Sonic Youth).
"dude merzbow was the best" "lmao you listen to dadnoise"
white noise is the best noise
white noise is the best noise
nah man i prefer yellow noise
nah man i prefer yellow noise
You mean J-noise and K-noise?
