I would be OK with Gordon talking in sake of at least basic plot features, but he should be "Man of few words". Just talking with very short sentences, usually staying completely quiet when possible.

If they ever make a movie or whatever, I'd rather have them create an entirely different main character, and make it set during the Combine invasion. Now that would be interesting.
