Thats illegal. VERY illegal.
Waait, 7th or 8th grade? Most Seventh Graders round these parts are 12 and 13...
Sounds right.
He has no right to interfere with the student's sexual orientation, and he's a horrible person by the looks of it.
Sup Darth.
Gay. I mean hey.
Wasn't this an invasion of personal property
I'm asking because I like knowing why retarded people are retarded. :v:
Maybe a homosexual person killed his parents or something
Why? I can't understand this shit, how can it possibly matter to you in such a way that you find it odd.
I'm sure he means that he doesn't see what is so attractive about guys
The teacher should be fired and criminally charged.. but I think she would have to wait until she was 18 to file a lawsuit for damages (without her parents consent).
Illegal and morally wrong. That's really fucked.
Here's an interesting true story I was reading up on the other day. There was this 7th or 8th grade teacher, and he was homophobic. He took away a student's phone, but then he started going through her personal information and her photos because he suspected her of being homophobic. Upon discovering pics that somehow proved his theory that she was a lesbian, he told the student that he was going to tell her parents that she's homosexual, even though she wasn't out of the closet yet. And she begged him not to, but he called them anyway, and when her parents came to the school to pick up her phone, he showed them that their daughter is a lesbian. Do you believe the teacher was morally in exposing her sexuality? I'm not saying it was necessarily a good idea to put anything on your phone that could possibly even hint at the possibility that you're gay, if you're still in the closet. But you know that teens are always going to have stuff like that on their phone anyway, since sexuality and dating are huge parts of being a teenager, so it could be fairly easy to put pieces together and assume someone's gay just by looking at their phone. I'm also not saying she should have been texting in class, but even if she was, the punishment of telling others, even your parents, your sexual orientation is one of the worst, most degrading things that can happen to a LGBT person, especially if their parents are homophobes. It would still be cruel and unusual punishment for the teacher to do since sending a text message in class doesn't equate to revealing your sexuality.
post a source or its bullshit
I think they can look through the phone. If it's like my school, they have a strict no cell phone policy. So she was bringing her phone onto the schools property. When people at my school get their phones taken away, the sro gives them a 200 dollar ticket, then the principal looks through the texts to see who they were texting and then calls in the people they were texting to the office and also gives them a ticket.
There is a bit of an ick factor with homosexuals, but having it can be a cultural/natural response and isn't homophobia, homophobia is acting upon it.
Where was this?
I think he's saying it's like people who love feet. He doesn't care if someone wants to like that sort of thing, but he's not about to go putting his dick in people's shoes to get off.
Homosexuality is not a fetish, and you are far from being tolerant if you hate two people of the same gender kissing each other.
Where the fuck is your source OP? Cause I copied and pasted this thread and found the exact same text in all these different forums
post a source or its bullshit
I did?
That's not only a dick move its also invasion of privacy.
Dick Move, yes. Illegal, yes. But Immoral? I wouldn't know. We don't know anything about the girl, and maybe the teacher was sure he would be helping her but getting her out of the closet, but it certainly wasn't his place to make the call.
Even if the story is fake we can still discuss it as a hypothetical situation, or we can talk about how bad Matrix374's posts are (I'd prefer to do that)
