He sounds like a cool guy. Just keep in mind therapist = the rapist. I'm not sure what psychologist equals though.
The media rarely reports the details such as the offenders background, their past, their upbringing and what their parents were like. Did they live in a household where violence was common? Did their parents get into a lot of fights and the child began to see violence towards others acceptable? Or do they simply have mental issues? But no, they skip anything like that and skip straight to the fact that they played COD or CS. It is ridiculous and I don't know why I'm bothering to type this because all of us here know this already. I hate the media for the way they portray things in a bad light if they feel like it because they know that the majority of people will just believe it without question. But the media is also good for bringing problems to attention and therefore they get fixed quickly so no one loses face.
Media is all about making money, they don't even care if their stories are true, as long as they get people to watch it.

What kind of OCD do you have ?
So basically games should only have 2 ratings, 7 year old and everyone.
I like your psychologist. Maybe you can go play MW2 or something.
Then teabag him.
It is my humble opinion that video games cannot harm us mentally and cause us to go batshit insane. In fact, for me, it's the complete opposite. When I get pissed enough, I will play CS:S and create a server, load it up with easy, knife wielding bots, and let my rage out. Or load up GTA IV and mow some hundred people down. Or Garry's Mod, or the 'No Russian' mission, or something of that matter. It keeps me from, in the words of Edward Norton in Fight Club, "going from cubicle to cubicle with an Armalite AR-10 gas operated, semi-automatic carbine pumping round after round into fellow collegues".
You have pretty good english, but here are a few tips: In conclusion, he tells me that games are neither good nor bad;(colons precede lists in separate clauses, semicolons separate two related but separate clauses) they will(there was a double negative here) [ul]cause me neither a bad influence nor a good influence[/ul]. Example of a correct colon usage: We will need the following: butter, milk, and eggs. Another example of correct semicolon usage: He was shunned by his family; he dishonored them. This sentence could also be written as "He was shunned by his family because he dishonored them" or "He was shunned by his family. He dishonored them." Any is correct; it's just personal preference. As for that underlined portion, I'm not sure why but it sounds wrong. Perhaps use "influence me neither positively nor negatively." Rate me box if I am wrong. [editline]10:42PM[/editline] Also, I have always believed that video games do not influence people to kill at all. Perhaps murderers are attracted to the violence.
Thanks for the tips : ) I corrected the OP.
Too bad I've been playing violent games since I was 6 or 7.
A good read, but pretty well known already. Video games (and media overall) has always been a great scapegoat for parents to use to cover for their own mistakes. They see what they want to see.
