[sp] As far as Howard Stark finding Odin's jewel at the end of the film, does anyone know what that led up to? Or is it supposed to be explained later?[/sp]
Did no one watch the post-credits scene of Thor? It's in SHIELD's possession.
Yeah. No clue why a bunch of sorta-Nazis would be speaking English to each other fluently.
They should have at least thrown in some "German". ZE AMERIKAN ZUPASOLDAT.
I live in Fresno and when that Asian dude said "I'm from Fresno" everyone in the theater started clapping.
Just got back, it was pretty great if I'm honest, Hugo Weaving is an excellent bad guy
Was there an after credits scene? I could stay and watch. I loved the movie though, favourite super her movie this year.
After credits scene + teaser for the avengers, it was worth it
Not any good quality videos on youtube. [editline]8th August 2011[/editline] Ok I seen the post credits scene. Cool.
Is the post credits scene for Captain America just the 5 second teaser? I was kind of hoping they might do something else, like all the other post-credit scenes actually had a tiny bit of story in them.
The teaser was more than 5 seconds, we got a some good shots of heroes and villains and what not
Captain America probably has the saddest story out of all of them, I mean think about it, [sp]He loses his new friend the Doctor who turned him into a superhero, he loses his best friend Bucky and then he loses the his only love interest by crashing that plane into the ice to save millions. Only to wake up 70 years later in a strange and confusing (by his standards) future.[/sp] That's really depressing when you think about it.
Read my post from a couple of pages ago(#215), it addresses the essence of Captain America's hidden pain.
Of course, I have to wonder about the ending of the second Hulk film, where Robert Downey was there, I thought in the comics, Hulk goes crazy and kicked out of the Avengers, and I think Wolverine has to fight the Hulk later. That might not be the upcoming Avengers film though. Here is what I don't get, is the 6 film Captain America contract with Marvel, when we look back at the 70 year thing, then what are the other four films after the Avengers? Somehow since Thor somehow got back to Earth, then I wonder if instead of being frozen, Cap could get sent back in time instead, otherwise that is the saddest super hero ending I have ever seen.
Snip Snip Snip now I really regret not waiting for the end of the credits. I thought the Avengers Teaser was what they showed after the credits but I just found what was actually show just now. [editline]9th August 2011[/editline] Apparently in 2014 we have an untitled X-men Sequel AND Deadpool to look forward to.
This movie had the best ending ever I still feel sad
I was just thinking of Christoph Waltz as Red Skull. That would've been fun.
Apparently in 2014 we have an untitled X-men Sequel AND Deadpool to look forward to.
Shit yeah. Any official source on that, or just rumours?
It's a comic book movie, all stereotypical henchmen must be as fragile as a piece of paper or it's just not right.
I get that, but we never saw them do anything bad. Obviously they have to crumble when faced with the Cap, but we only ever saw them shoot an old Norwegian guy and break his chapel.
I live in Fresno and when that Asian dude said "I'm from Fresno" everyone in the theater started clapping.
When our theater found out Dum Dum Dugan's from Boston there were a few woops and yells
Some people in our theater clapped when he mentioned he was from Jersey, then we were like "the fuck?" when we found out he lied.

Jersey is America's Joke State. No offence to any Jerseyans

Were you with your mom?
Just got back from seeing it. I really enjoyed it, I liked the golden-age feel it had and as much as a I like 'deep' or morally-grey characters, it was actually refreshing to have this straight good hero. I felt that the casting was good, but I haven't read any of the comics. There were only a couple of negative points I can think of. I was expecting Captain America to be fighting 'proper' Nazis, so when the whole HYDRA thing was a bit of a letdown - the actual costumes and look of them was great. The pacing felt a bit off towards the end, but not enough to hamper it. Also, there was the odd line here and there that was lame (Captain America replying to the Red Skull's gloating with just 'Nope.'). Overall, I thought it was a fun film. The first superhero film I've been to see since The Dark Knight. I think I was sort of put off the genre by Spider-Man 3, but now I reckon I'll go back and watch the other Avengers setup films. EDIT: Also, I don't get why stopping the Red Skull lead to defeating Nazi Germany if HYDRA was just a smaller split-off group. I can forgive that with "it's just a film", though. I suppose if the group that split away was large enough, it could have lessened the numbers of Hitler's army and made it easier for the Allies to win, though.
HYDRA were a much bigger threat then
The musical sequence was awesome. I was surprised to see that Alan Fucking Menken created that song. Maybe that's why it's extremely catchy?
The terrible attempt at Norwegian during the beginning of the movie :( It's like "The Thing" all over again. Why can't Hollywood cast some Norwegian actors living in US/UK instead of asking British actors to pronounce Norwegian words?
because the only decent norwegian actor is aksel hennie [editline]21st August 2011[/editline] I enjoyed the film. The only thing that bothered me was the lack of the Cap and Carter having their moment. [editline]21st August 2011[/editline]

also i wish red skull looked a bit more rugged instead of this plastic wax shit [editline]21st August 2011[/editline] something like this [t]http://th00.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/f/2011/211/7/d/red_skull_by_adonihs-d4258z6.jpg[/t]
i liked the part where buck from band of brothers had a beard and a shotgun that part was cash
