No, this is 1D:
No, he's right. 1D is a straight line.
Eh, Avatar was not the first movie to use 3D at all :colbert:
No, he's right. 1D is a straight line.
Yes, but not like the line he posted. The line will be so thin you won't see it.
We should focus on exploring 1D instead of 3D

How exciting!
That's 4d I think.
It wont work like it does in the ad, it uses shutter glasses. You can see the flicker and the effect only works if youre within 5 feet of the screen. It was still pretty cool though, and it can only get better
Bullshit, you can watch it from any distance, and the flicker is not visible at 120 Hz.
Am I the only one not wanting 3D?
Also, what is so special with this TV that makes it cost 7000$? Aren't the requirements only 120Hz (and the right software/hardware, which doesn't cost that much)?
I think 3D can do great things, but I agree about the outrageous cost.
There's no reason what so ever for the high price, it just has to be able to display in 120 Hz
The human brain isn't calculated to process so much information for long periods of times. Hench migraines and other effects kick in when watching 3D for too long.
Yeah, the human brain isn't made for two eyes. Wait.

That's still 2D, you shouldn't be able to see 1D.
No, this is 1D:
Correct.
not worth it, if you tilt your head the 3d affect is gone, and the prices for the glasses are like 200 bucks each.
Actually the ones that run at 120Hz require polarizing glasses to watch in 3D. Whats so impressive about this one is it doesn't need glasses.
no, it does. the same glasses.
Uh well, who would want to see all the dumb trash on TV in 3D anyway? Its annoying enough in 2D.
Nah, I realize we are talking about movies here rather than everyday television, but my opinion about it is: Wake me up when hologram stuff is here. Until then, I won't buy into this gimmicky 3D trend that they try to use to milk more dollars out of their boring crap.
I would rather have better 2d movies than this crap, but Joe Average likes to pay thousands for the same dull junk but in a new gimmicky way to consume it.

3D, base, height, depth.
2D, base, height.
1D, base.
So technically, you can.
we should focus on 0D
This looks great, but it will carry a hefty price tag.
That's Argentina! I know those streets!! :v:
I haven't seen or heard of a massive 3D LCDs wall on my city though.
Yes, but not like the line he posted. The line will be so thin you won't see it.
In other news, atoms don't look like coloured balls. Thank you for your insight.
Around 2,500 dollars apparently.
Haha, Thats the price of a Normal LED TV.
3D, base, height, depth.

If I can take a ruler and measure the height, even if it is .3 mm, (Which, according to my resolution, it is.) then it is 2D, as it has base and height.

And we have product lockdowns from Apple (And other Companies) To thank for that. All of our devices are starting to quickly shift from becoming productive all-around machines into mass-consumption devices.
