I find the trailer funny not on the creators' premise - but because of the incredibly thick stupidity rooted in it. The mere fact that there are people who will find this funny is also amusing, albeit sad to some extent.
If you like that kind of humour I'd advise you to check out the movie Senseless, starring the same lead actor.
