Let's boycott BP so they can't afford to fix their problem! /sarcasm

I just blocked everyone I see on there, disliked it and removed my comment. Its a lost cause, but it just goes to show that almost a million people of our country are that ignorant.

Yeah, It's a bit disgusting that there are really that many ignorant people in our country alone. (Although, I'm sure it's a worldwide group.)

If they become successful and the cleaning stops, I'm going to re like the page and yell "I TOLD YOU SO" just to rub it in their faces.
Anyone blaming BP for what happens need a good punch in the face.
Facts:
BP didn't make the rig,
BP didn't own the rig,
BP was just the company buying oil from the drillers - yes, they put un-necessary pressure on them to get more oil out of the well, but every company with half a mind would try to get as much money in as little time as possible, otherwise they'd be a shit company.
BP are now spending immense amounts of money (which realistically will end them as a company) trying to clean up the mess.
It's fucking incredible that people are retarded enough to think boycotting BP would do any good at all.
Their executives are in charge of safety measures. British Petroleum was not putting as much pressure on safety as other oil drillers.
BP had the rights to the well and its operation of it during the spill, thus it is their fault.
If you rent a car and drive it into a house killing people inside, it is not the company who owns the car, it is the person who was renting/leasing it at the time of the indecent
This a lot better than "Stop blaming BP"
I hate this more than anything: Ignorant, uninformed people who say their right despite lack of any real facts
You know what I hate more than anything? Seeing my whole life crumble in front of me because I'm a fisherman with a worthless boat and no work. I hate that I have a multi-million dollar vacation home on Perdido Key, Florida that is now useless. I hate that the air that's wafting into my state is quite possibly toxic. I hate that millions of my state's tax dollars is going towards the worst handled clean-up operation in the world.
Here's a real fact for you: people are hurting because of this spill. When people are hurting, they get angry, and like it or not, BP is at the face of this whole mess. I'm not saying they suddenly decided one day the spill was a great idea, I'm just saying that people are going to hold them responsible, whether you like it or not. BP is going to have to make it right, and if that means sucking them dry, people will not care.
If you want my opinion, the only one we should be angry with at this point is our fucking government.
(No, I do not actually fish for a living. Since I live in one of the effected states however, I've seen all of these problems first hand.)

See, I don't mind you being angry at BP, because you have a reason to. All the people in that group are just going with the publics popular choice, without any clue what they are diving into.
If you want my opinion, the only one we should be angry with at this point is our fucking government.
I agree with being angry at the US government. But also, I have to be angry at people like this:
Latoya Fields I still want to tie them up pour oil in their face and make them drink it and see how they cope with it though!!!!!! and let them sit in a room full of it!!!!!
Seems a "Latoya Fields" has some serious fetishes right there. I don't know about you, but getting tied up and having oil shoved down my throat seems a bit extreme.

This is by all means, not a troll at all.
I'm sorry that the BP spill has personally affected your life in a negative way. I live in Michigan, I'm not really affected by it at all. I am merely pointing out that there are so many people out there that are just plain ignorant. I really hope that this issue gets resolved the best way possible.
Transocean built the oil rig, but BP has had a notorious history of oil disasters. If you really aren't going to put the blame on BP, you are either very ignorant or a troll.
BP wrote up the commission for the well
BP approved the plans for the well
BP had direct control over the operations on the well
BP willingly ignored safety issues on the well
BP is bound by international laws to fix the problem
BP has set aside 400 billion dollars to cover the cost of the spill, and has no plans to go bankrupt.
The plans didn't include "faulty blow out protection", nothing is built perfectly. If anyone is to be blamed for that it's the company that built it.
They didn't have direct control, it was outsourced to another company BP basically said "Drill the oil we own and give it to us".
Not sure about this one but if the things others have said in this thread are true then the company doing the drilling are just as to blame for going ahead knowing it was dangerous (They could have turned around and said this is dangerous we are not doing it, if BP tried to sue them it would not stand up in any sensible court)
They have to clear it up because they own the rights to the oil, doesn't make it necessarily their fault.

Well not just this situation but other stuff as well
This is just a guess, but from what I'm reading there are other spills in the world as well?
If that's the case, then the only reason the BP oil spill is getting so much response is because it's happening to the US. So it's just more proof that most Americans are extremely ignorant and uneducated? I think so.
Yes lets boycott a gas station. Remember that gamestop boycott that failed? This one will fall just like the gamestop one.
I'm heading toward the bay area this weekend, I'll be sure to stop in by the BP station and give the bird to these sorts of passers-by
You can't exactly boycott something you need in our current world.
I mean, it's like boycotting General Electric.

The air probably isn't toxic, when an oil storage terminal exploded close (less than ~150 miles) to where I live there was mass panic that everyone was going to get cancer and it turned out that what ever it was releasing into the air when the oil was burning was nothing more than an irritant.
And you can hardly say its the worst clean up operation ever when its still in progress. Stopping the flow wasn't really part of the clean up op IMO, and the problems BP had doing it come from the fact that they are dealing with a giant gaping hole (well the hole is in what ever plugs the hole and filters it to the rig but with it blown open its basically a hole in the seabed) in the sea bed with oil pouring out of it not a leaky pipe.

There is a massive oil spill in China which is apparently the worst oil spill they have ever had to deal with. Strange that isn't being reported all over the news. It covered 165 sq miles in like 2 weeks.
For this guy
hi im a facebook user and i dont want to support a company that is trying to fix an oil spill. i hope they lose alot of money so that way they cant fix it.
/sarcasm
you are all retarted
I had a good laugh at all the comments.

Which one do you think Americans are more likely to care about though? The one that's hitting their beaches, or the one halfway across the world?

Just to give you an idea, the oil well in the gulf has been leaking since April 20, 2010 at 30,000 - 60,000 barrels per day with periodic breaks and siphons. If the well had not been contained, it would have made a blotch the size of Texas within a month.

http://www.rnw.nl/english/article/dutch-oil-spill-response-team-standby-us-oil-disaster
The Dutch offered to help us, we turned them down. Why? Either the US government can't do math and fix their own regulations in a time of disaster, or America is too good to accept international aid.
Which one do you think Americans are more likely to care about though? The one that's hitting their beaches, or the one halfway across the world?
Not the point. If these people are sooo set on trying to fix the problem they should care about all of the oil spills in the world, not just the one in their backyard. Just goes to show the selfishness and lack of information on their end.
But guys BP is a big evil BRITISH company

Because its obviously easy to clean up multiple oil spills at any given time.
The only argument that has come close to an intellectual statement is "let them use their trillions of dollars they've accumulated to fix this problem".
Because everyone knows that when you run a business, all of the money you make is just stored in a bank vault.
Oh fuck, three of my friends are in this group. Time to get a well thought out yell at followed by a de-friend.
Meh, I just decided to post the "You dense motherfucker" picture.
