hahaha no im used to actual driving sims
and actual driving for that matter
I want this but on ragdolls
"100 FPS with real time physics in CryEngine3"
what kind of monster supercomputer was THAT
This is Rigs of Rods:

Whenever I played RoR I ended up driving ugly, wobbly cars around hills.
I really need a wheel and some good mods.
@op It looks no engine is in the bay at all. It just squishes all the way to the cab easily.
How come when I play RoR all the vehicles clip through each other? I can't run them over or anything

When a car isn't being used, it freezes, so it doesn't take up more CPU usage, but iirc, there is a way to set it to an active state even when you aren't in it. Try looking in the menus at the top, it should be there.

Ha...found it but the game crashed immediately
I hope more games incorporate soft body physics, the games I know that have it besides ror is Gta 4 and Motorstorm.
Amazing stuff. Also, wasn't this guy a Facepuncher at some point or another?
Yes he is, http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1186921
Would be better if the car had a bit more weight to it. It seems quite floaty on that video
It was in slow motion a lot of the time. An annotation stated this. And it's fairly obvious to tell really.
This is pretty much RoR with better graphics. The suspension and damage models is pretty much identical if you use some proper made cars
It IS ror with better graphics, this is their new project:

If only they had the ability to make the metal shear and tear.
Sometimes parts of the car are damaged for no reason. Take the final clip for instance, the bonnet shouldn't take that much damage from the impact.
If only they had the ability to make the metal shear and tear.
In theory, that's possible right now, but the number of triangles needed would require an insane amount of power even after optimization.
Truck is too bouncy, like jello. Damage is identical to RoR. Looks pretty though.

They kinda mention that in the video at the start.
What I mean is that it's completely identical to RoR just with better graphics so it's nothing new actually. Just a different game engine
the context in which you used the word 'realist' in the title is incorrect
no offence but Burnout has been doing this for years. I like the music in the video though. :)

Burnout is nothing compared to this.

No they haven't.
Hopefully it will be better than rig of rods, I tried that and it was like trying to drive a reliant robin with slick tires on ice.
I kept expecting them to crash two cars together :(
With a invincible undercarriage (suspension and wheels) and going over bumps that large that fast, any truck would probably look like that in slow motion. it may be a little exaggerated, but not much.

It is a little too much frame twist but other than that, yes.
Rigs of Rods looks like a game that would be used to promote Windows 98. That's not a bad thing, but it just reminds me of some of those games.

It's not that horrible graphics

And oh god what have I done I'm not good with car

How it looks really depends on the content you're showing.
Preferably one of Gabester's cars on one of LJFHutch's maps.

Except with particles and shadows enabled ofcourse. They arent in the video because it was recorded in replay mode, which offers neither.
thats certainly not the ror i remember
It's just softbody physics, with a nice damage model. Nothing really new. I want to see them simulate the difference in it's different parts more explicitly, it's a bit too spongy.
It would be fun as hell to see this implemented in a GTA game. It was tried in GTA4 but it was completely unrealistic in a lot of ways.
Even though it was unrealistic, I loved every bit of it. I hope they have something similar in GTAV
