the most childish thing to do
No, they push the limits of freedom of speech to be honest. They say vulgar things at schools and they support some very offensive beliefs. They're being childish and acting like they know everything and they are awesome people. They are ignorant and whenever someone asks a good question, they just ignore it.

Abusing it would be saying something that causes legitimate danger to someone else.
Where are you from? Maybe I know you.
Heh, I might know you in real life, I graduated from that high school last year. And I know DoctorSalt goes there currently, so you'll have an even better chance of knowing him.
"free speech ends when it annoys me"
Well you have to understand that they are teaching such young kids terrible kids and telling them to discriminate homosexuals without even giving them a chance.
I think they're barred from entering the UK.
Yeah they are, thankfully...
That's not abusing freedom of speech in the slightest. Abusing it would be saying something that causes legitimate danger to someone else.
True, but I find it unfair that they are allowed to say vulgar things at schools and insult the dead soldiers at funerals.
I can't wait till they come to my town, I'm not going to counter-protest or protest. Just Watch. [editline]3rd December 2010[/editline]
True, but I find it unfair that they are allowed to say vulgar things at schools and insult the dead soldiers at funerals.
How is it unfair?
Egg them.
seriously get out of my school
I can't wait till they come to my town, I'm not going to counter-protest or protest. Just Watch. [editline]3rd December 2010[/editline] How is it unfair?
Because the children and staff at the school have no say in whether or not they can say that stuff there or not and the family and friends of the deceased who went the funeral couldn't shoo them away because they have the freedom to protest there.
Well as long as they don't do anything too malicious I guess they're easy to ignore
Why don't we just send them to Vatican City so the Pope can excommunicate them. Sure the Pope may not like homosexuals, but at least he knows what's disrespectful and what isn't.
I really wish these police would backstab them and begin to shoot them.
just like tf2 lol use deadringer
They need to get the fuck out of my country if they're gonna say "God hates America" like seriously
buy a boombox and play this song
Fuck homophobes.
Literally :smug:
Fighting hate with more hate will just result with even more hate. I mean I agree that these assholes are inhuman pricks, but hurting them or killing them will only ensure that their message is heard.
That's not abusing freedom of speech in the slightest. Abusing it would be saying something that causes legitimate danger to someone else.
Soldiers should have the right to hold a public funeral without disturbance of procession. They serve the country so many people come to pay respects, therefore it's inpractical to hold a private procession. However, the Westboro Baptist Church takes advantage of people in their time of mourning. Your rights end where another person's rights begin and purposely spewing hateful comments against an identifiable group due to sexual orientation at a Funeral Procession is just sad. America has it's first black president yet the country can't get over the fact that some people will sleep with a person of the same gender? The whole 'race' issue had more merit to it (Not that it had any merit at all) in that they were visibly different so atleast ignorant people could be idiots about it. It's hard however to just "spot" a gay person, so why are people so damn intolerant? Modern society has made sex very open with the media and social norms yet we still can't handle other sexual orientations. How pathetic. The Westboro Baptist Church IS abusing their Freedom of Speech privilege by promoting hatred against an identifiable group. They are doing this at a public funeral procession which is detrimental to those mourning for the lost soldiers. They are purposely intending to inflect mental anguish upon those nearby, and their slander is detrimental to Children who are nearby. This has gone on too far.
Thank god they arent in the UK, else shit'd be bad bro.
Their leader is one of the people on the short list of banned individuals, they 'aint coming anywhere near here.
What the hell is a fag enabler
Facepunch counter-protest sesh?
It's funny because they hate america yet the only reason they're not all dead yet is thanks to the 1st amendment. [editline]3rd December 2010[/editline]
What the hell is a fag enabler
Someone who isn't homophobic.
What the hell is a fag enabler
A person who in any way advocates gays
I really hate this family. But you can only ignore them and carry on I guess.
I would murder them [editline]3rd December 2010[/editline] I don't care if I get arrested, it would be for the greater good
These people are trolls. In a way. Not doing it just for the reactions but for the money. A lot of the members are lawyers, they piss people off so much, that they want to do bad things to them, then they can sue them and get profit.
I know it's wrong, but I can't say I'd feel bad if they all died.
