That makes sense. Now I can see why its considered "unique", kind of. I just thought of it as a tempo shift, though. I'm used to a lot of non-core bands doing tempo shifts, so I didn't think anything of it.

I don't usually like music that has breakdowns, but the actual breakdowns aren't always bad. If done right, it can be like "woah that was awesome" but usually they're too forced, or it just seems like they're trying too hard to be as heavy as possible..which doesn't always yield bad results.

I'm just saying, I don't like music with breakdowns much. I don't mind the slow/heavy chugging riffs, or the tempo changes (I love tempo changes) but I prefer it in more of a style like this:

Speeds up at :23, gets awesome at :40, gets slow/heavy at :50, speeds back up at 1:12, gets even faster at 1:24, ETC. You should have an idea of the song from listening to 0:00 to 1:50 ish
