a good movie
[sp]How the HELL do you take sides in this movie. I really wanted Bruce Willis to kill the kid because it was confirmed that the kid was going to be a killer so it would of been somewhat justified. (killing a kid really isn't but he already killed two and this one was actually the bad guy). Was the movie trying to make Bruce Willis out to be bad? I guess this movie doesn't really focus on "good" & "bad" but more really what's done is done, but that pisses me off for some reason. Was I the only one rooting for Old Joe?[/sp]
[sp]the point was that the kid didn't HAVE to be bad. Old Joe, ironically enough, would have set the kid off on the bad path by killing his mom and giving the kid a reason to deeply hate loopers. can someone explain to me in what way the movie suggested the kid WAS GOING TO BE BAD NO MATTER WHAT because a lot of people in this thread are saying that and it completely baffles me. Cid was kind at heart; he just had a serious anger problem coupled with destructive superpowers. He was a good kid, he just couldn't control his outbursts. Because he's a little kid. little kids have tantrums. that's what they do.[/sp]
[sp]what if he killed the kid[/sp]
[sp] then why does the rain maker exist in the timeline that old joe comes from? If joe killing his mom triggered him being the rain maker, what happened to make it happen the first time round?[/sp]

But [sp] in the original timeline old joe wouldn't have existed because old joe would have closed his loop when he was young, so there's no old joe for original young joe to stop [/sp]
Diagrams with straws guys .. :)
