Also, just throwing this out there, but Joseph Gordon-Levitt handsome as hell.
don't forget about the face prosthetics
I loved how Levitt had his Bruce Willis impersonation on top form
It was a good movie, I admit, but I need to watch it again - I went with friends the first time, so I was kind of distracted.
How? You watch the movie, there's not much else to do in a dark room surrounded by other people who are there to watch a movie unless you're a bunch of jerks and talk/make noise/kick seats.

I almost thought it was him for a second the first time he talks to Beatrix, then he watches her walk away and he has a little smirk.

Place was empty so we joked around a bit.
Ah, ok
Oh this movie is looking pretty neat. Didn't know about it until I read this comic:

I don't understand why it's Mudkips. Or the joke.

That's an awful joke

I enjoyed it just 'cause I didn't know what that thing was until I read the post with its name. I dunno why.
Saw this today, and it was awesome, best film that I've watched in a while.
Saw the movie since my father said it had good reviews.
Holy fucking shit, that was awesome. The movie about leaving no loose ends left no loose ends. This is this years Inception and it's almost definitely getting at least some award(s) during the Oscars.

What's with Time Travel this year? We have had several so far, and Cloud Atlas is coming out soon.
It was good, and totally worth watching.
It seems like a lot of people here thing its AMAZING, but I can't really agree. It was a good movie, but I wouldn't put it in my top favorites or anything.
Well maybe because you've seen a lot of good movies. It's not in my favorites or in my top 15 even, but it's pretty fucking great. The problem is that I've seen so many other good movies it's hard to even compare this one to them.
The Orthodox Cowboy costumes look ridiculous.
saw this with my mate, we both loved it. the theatre in our town is kinda small, so there were only like 20 people watching this particular screening. when [sp]joe kills himself[/sp], the same girls who'd been talking incredibly loudly the entire movie went [sp]omg what? he killed himself? i don't get this, weird fucking movie[/sp]
Damn, local cinema handed out 200 free tickets and I missed it :(

Sir, you insult me!
I'm pretty much saying the same thing you are.

If they watched the damn movie instead of talking then they'd get it.
God, I hate those people.

Then I'll say it again! And again! And again! The point will be made!

But you didn't say that, at all, really. You just said it wasn't 'great'.

I can see that. I just meant to say I wouldn't probably put it in my top 10, but its close.
I would love to fit it in there, but sadly it's being taken up by movies like No Country For Old men and The Usual Suspects.
This is definitely the best sci fi movie I've seen in ages, it doesn't go too OTT with the future stuff. I liked how the only amazingly future stuff was the [sp] Hover Bikes, TKs and obviously Time Travel [/sp], I also really liked the scene where [sp] Abe was saying to Joe to go to China and not France, because he knew Old Joe lives in China and meets his wife there. I thought the whole concept of Abe was cool. [/sp]
When i seen the previews for this movie, i never actually seen Bruce Willis in JGL's face. Then i watch the movie, and im actually so impressed how he captured bruce's character and his "smug face". Really great!
I thought the whole movie was fantastic until [sp]the beautifully shot scene where Joe casually flips the blunderbuss towards himself[/sp]
[sp]That's when it was my movie of the year.[/sp]
Also, was I the only one getting a Max Payne vibe when JGL was wearing a leather jacket and tie? Honestly, give him a couple more years and it'll be perfect.
The end scene was one of the best in recent memory
Also, the work they did with JGL's face was pretty impressive
I thought a lot of the movie was shlocky and poorly done for the intelligent action time travel movie I came to expect. When [sp]cowboy kid shot randomly into the scene on the hoverbike[/sp] I couldn't take anything seriously. A considerable amount of the action setpieces seemed tossed in without thoughtful meaning behind them, and while some of the ideas were cool enough to pull it off [sp]like limb losing guy[/sp], others I felt pulled down the movie, especially near the end. For a story with an extremely contrived and illogical timetravel mechanic, I felt there was little payoff for suspending disbelief.
[sp]Also it was weird that they introduced new characters late into the movie, then tried to have them carry it to the end, felt disjointed.[/sp]
I was really looking forward to this movie. Although I enjoyed it, I found myself underwhelmed at the end of the film. I suppose I went in expecting far too much, I'd been looking forward to Looper for a good few months.
JGL is an amazing actor though, so just seeing him in the movie made it so much better.
Fuck, I loved this movie. I want to watch it forever.
Oh, so you'd like to watch it on a loop? Heh heh heh heh heh heh no don't get up I'll show myself out
jesus
don't watch this movie with an idiot
i took my friend to see this in exchange for some brake work he did for me and he tried to argue with me about why joe was cid
i was like bro are you fucking retarded
[editline]10th October 2012[/editline]
his reasoning was how cid did the same thing joe did when he [sp]lost his mom, got on the train until he was found[/sp] and I tried to explain that it was a parallel to relate the two characters but he was having none of it
the other thing he said to convince me was [sp]joe apparently having a memory of cid's life even though abe clearly fucking said that it was his imagination painting a picture[/sp]

the [sp]incestuous implications are disgusting enough[/sp] to make this a dumb theory
though i will admit i considered it for a brief moment at the end
