Has lemonator ever made a decent post
I don't think he has
Nope mostly it's about getting ripped
I liked this movie, even though I thought TK was silly. I would've liked more depth into [sp]the rainmaker/cid[/sp].
But then [sp]if Young Joe shot his finger off, the trigger would just snap back from the "half being pulled" to the "not being pulled at all" position. Otherwise shooting himself would've had no effect on the gun firing either.[/sp]

whoops, damn [ key being too close to the p key
[sp]If he died young then he never went back in time then he was never there with the gun in the first place. If he shot his finger then old Joe could've just used another finger. Or his other hand.[/sp]
What? this is wrong. [sp]he halfway pulled it. he still had a few second of life before he faded away. plenty of time for a bullet to come out if he had pulled the trigger!! but he didnt.[/sp]
Oh my bad.

You can actually read any of his posts using the voice of Brucie from GTA4. I imagine he's like that in real life.
question: [sp]if in old joe's timeline there was no old joe to kill sara and thus create a rainmaker then why was there a rainmaker in old joe's timeline?[/sp]
question: [sp]if in old joe's timeline there was no old joe to kill sara and thus create a rainmaker then why was there a rainmaker in old joe's timeline?[/sp]
answer: [sp]I don't want to talk about time travel shit. Because if we talk about time travel shit then we're gonna be here all day, drawing diagrams with straws.[/sp]
question: [sp]if in old joe's timeline there was no old joe to kill sara and thus create a rainmaker then why was there a rainmaker in old joe's timeline?[/sp]
I thought the same thing but after thinking about it for a while, I reckon [sp]the shit load of gold and silver that Sara found in the little truck thing would let her take care of Cid and get him more help. In old Joe's timeline he probably ended up killing Sara accidentally or something.[/sp]
[sp]how did that guy know about the rainmaker's coordinates?[/sp]
[sp]how did that guy know about the rainmaker's coordinates?[/sp]
he was given them. there was a bit where [sp]bruce was on a phone in the future and some guy gave him that number just before he died. clearly someone did research on him, got the number, gave bruce the number and died immediately[/sp]
did you fall asleep or something?
No, I was wondering how he found out
No, I was wondering how he found out
Same way people today find out, lots of research and time. It's not really important.
the only flaws this movie has as far as i'm concerned are the ones that come with the territory of being a time travel film
and even then the movie knows this
it straight up tells you "don't think too much about it, just roll with it" without being stupid about it
Just watched this, and it was amazing. Like with all time travel movies there are massive plot holes, but it doesn't matter.
The part with the doctor was some of the creepiest shit I have ever seen. Holy fuck.
yeah i got grossed out at that part even though there was no gore
[sp]dismemberment[/sp] is just a really disturbing idea to me
And that way it happens. He's driving his car and then bam! Gone!
Just saw it [sp]holy shit when sid made jesse explode[/sp]
[editline]19th October 2012[/editline]
Also [sp]how on earth did Young joe kill old joe then old joe didn't get killed thats the only problem im having with it[/sp]
And that way it happens. He's driving his car and then bam! Gone!
that part was funny. what was bad imo was the [sp]missing nose and the part where he is walking and losing limbs, having all his arms and legs but 5 feet later he's a quadriplegic.[/sp]

[sp]young joe killed himself, meaing old joe couldn't possibly exist. so he leaves existance (just dissapears)[/sp]
[editline]19th October 2012[/editline]
actually thinking about it wouldn't that cause an enormous paradox since [sp]old joe wouldn't exist so he wouldn't have gone back in time and caused all this shit meaning young joe wouldn't have killed himself OH GOD IM IN A LOOP[/sp]
Just saw this movie on a whim, didn't even know it existed
Amazing, what a good sci-fi thriller/action
[sp]I guess, since whatever happens to the young body happens to the old body, Old Joe just became a 30-year old version of what had happened to Young Joe - he got shot, and then probably either experienced 30 years worth of decay in a split second, or got instantly incinerated or something. Maybe?[/sp]
I enjoy coming to this thread just to see people try and wrap their heads around time traveling.
What do [sp]you guys think of Emily Blunt's accent?[/sp]

no it is that [sp]it is no longer possible at all for old joe to be standing there. before young joe died it was still possible that young joe would go to china, get married and shit and become old joe and make a loop. as soon as young joe killed himself it wasn't possible anymore so old joe poofs from existence[/sp]

well there are plot holes and paradoxes related to it in the movie but the movie acknowledges it kinda

That's why I enjoy it. Time travel causes paradoxes, paradoxes make no sense. Trying to make sense of it is a waste of time.
Hence why I like watching people try to make sense of it :v:
Cid has a mutual infanticide pact with himself.
Even if JGL [sp]did shoot his hand off for all we know he could'a died from blood loss so even then Old Joe would have still disappeared.[/sp]
the "he should have shot his hand off!" thing is as stupid as how people go "he should have shot his legs/hands" whenever a cop shoots and kills an armed gunman
the "he should have shot his hand off!" thing is as stupid as how people go "he should have shot his legs/hands" whenever a cop shoots and kills an armed gunman
Not really, the argument involving the cop is based around the fact that it's far easier to hit an armed person in the chest or somewhere similar to put him down quickly than take out an arm or leg, whereas Joe had his hand right in front of him
Surely if he'd shot his own hand off, Old Joe would have simply dropped the gun from his stump, then picked it up with the other hand and killed Cid anyway? Meanwhile Young Joe would now be on the floor in agony and unable to do anything else to help.
snip
Let's just say Young Joe didn't shoot his hand off cause it would be extremely painful to do that. A chest shot was probably too quick for him to feel pain.
