cybergun chrono's there guns with .12. So on the box it says like 500FPS but it's really like much lower
the piece of paper said, "tested at 420fps with .25 gram bbs." This is off topic but, Its hard to tell when my gun is out of amo. is there some part that stops the gun from shooting when its out? Im not talking about a sophmod tho.
No. If you're using hicaps just shake the mag every once in a while. If you're using midcaps and you here it dry fire, take cover and quick reload. I don't see what's so hard about that.
I don't think he can tell when it's dry-firing or not. As in he can't hear the different pitch when your mag runs out.
You should easily be able to tell the difference in pitch. Just listen closely and look when its not firing BBs.
Only retarde have issues with knowing if they are out of ammo. HURR NO BB'S COME OUT, I MUST HAZ FULL MAG!
... I cant see the bbs, and my gun has a different pitch every time it shoots, Usually I have to shoot at the ground to see if anything moves.
Use different color BBs? It should sound uniform also?

It's pretty simple. OP mush have mental problems or a lack of Google, ability to ask how the mag works, or to READ THE INSTRUCTIONS.
It's probably dry firing every other round thus different pitches. I can almost feel my gearbox jolting when it dry fires

Ok so I talked to some guys at airsoft extreme, and they said that the gun can survive a Lipo. so idk. I think I might just try it, is there anything I might listen for so I know if its stripping the gears?

.. how would they be making me? 1. I didn't buy the lipo battery from them. 2. I asked them if they would upgrade the internals and they said they wouldn't because they wouldn't need to. 3. They would have made more money off of me by telling me it needs a gearbox upgrade and they had the parts. I still am not done with my reasearch tho.

Run a lipo if you want, but you'll know when something is stripping just from the pitch of the gearbox.
Why bother running a lipo though? It's not like rate of fire matters, if you can make one shot count why do you need 20 shots at a time?
Heres how it works. People think lipos make guns blow up cause of the battery its self. 8.4v Any standard Airsoft gun can take it. (Not that cheap walmart shit ect) 9.6v You have an increased rate of fire meaning your gearbox needs to be able to withstand the extra heat made and the extra pressure and hits it's taking. 11.1v Lipo - your rifle is being tested to it's extremes, Your ROF increases which really makes parts wear out faster and break easier since the parts might not be able to withstand being hit that fast. So really. If a gun could last 5k shots and were fired on semi straight through with the same delay between each shot for both batterys it would make it just fine. If you did 3 second bursts for each rifle the Lipo will put out more bb's then the 8.4v. Bigger chance of a part breaking since the extra hits and pressure the parts in the GB take.
Only reasons why I use lipos are: 1. They fit in an AR buffer tube, no battery box needed for a retractable stock M4 2. Near instantaneous trigger response. This means a lot when you're playing a semi auto only game. Other than that they don't serve much more purpose to me. If my other guns will take large and small NiMH batteries, I use those instead. It's mainly my CA M15A4 URX that's using the lipo's right now.

You could always build a custom battery for the buffer tubes. is it possible to have a double output/input battery that is built into the gun, where as you just hook up the second cord that is imbedded in the gun and hidden by a latch or something that you just plug in and don't have to worry about frogetting your batterys. It would have to be replacable and upgradable but other then that it sounds perfectly feasable.
Are you talking about a second connector in the gun so you can just charge the battery without having to take it out of the gun? I'd imagine you could do that, but keep in mind connectors do take up a significant amount of room in an otherwise already cramped gun. Crane stock M4's can be opened from the rear, and the connector can easily be reached from there if you were to lazy to take the battery out. Other guns, not so easy. As for buffer tube batteries, only Lipo's will work due to their small size. Small NiMH batteries are simply too large to fit in there. It would be like trying to stick a 8.4v stick battery in that tube. It will fit, but you're not getting a stock on.
We have been talking about buffer tube batteries a lot lately. Well the question has been answered, lets move out of here and stop talking about other stuff that has nothing to do with putting a lipo into a SR-25.
We already answered the OP and now we are using the thread for other purposes. I would call it an atempt to save forum space.
K so I finally put the battery in, its like 11.1v or sumthing. It shoots like 50-billion-x faster, like way harder, the sound is really loud, but its prolly just me, lol. and the gun seems to vibrate and its got some recoil on it now. Like I can hear the spring really banging in there. But it hasn't stopped working yet, Iv been using it for almost a week. oh yeah and can someone tell me where to get extended Irs rails cuz I cant find one that fits the MOD 0 style.
Irs rail?
Whatever u call them rails u put shit on. Like an m203.
Well is it ris or ras?
um... it says IRS. whats the difference?
Trust me, it's not IRS unless you're talking about the Internal Revenue Service, which I strongly doubt. RIS = Rail Interface System RAS = Rail Adapter System Either one pretty much means a rail system for a gun. As for extra replacement rails for the MOD0, I doubt you'll find any with the holes in the places you need them. Also, if you're going to be mounting a RIS mounted M203, you don't really need a long rail, the one included on your gun should hold it. What you need to do is check if you can remove the bottom rail and move it further back. I can't tell if there are extra threaded screw holes for the rail. If you wanted a longer rail, try something like this. Don't expect it to work right out of the box, as I doubt the screws are the same size. You would need to bring the rail to a machine shop and have them drill new holes where the holes on the handguard are. Shouldn't take no more than an hour for someone who knows how to use a mill to do it. Hell even I could do it. http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=661
