I bought it but I can't get into it
Haven't read the book, unfortunately, but I loved the movie. Atticus Finch is a fucking cool motherfucker.
I saw this book on a table when I was a kid and thought it was about how to hunt mocking birds. It made me think mocking birds where hard to kill or something. When I found out what it was about I was disappointed.
Never read it.
[sp] Mayella Ewell is raped by her dad[/sp]
See, that sounds wrong, but if it was in anonymous confession it would be rated funny. Ahh life. So much funnier when it is a confession.
I have never read it. I have an English book report coming up. Do you guys really recommend it?
This I do recommend. Or you could try reading The Great Gatsby, Of Mice And Men, Lord Of The Flies. Just to name a few books I read in high school that I really enjoyed. I hated reading but these books really got my attention. [editline]12:00PM[/editline]
This I do recommend. Had to read it for my 11th grade English course. I thought it was absolutely boring as shit, especially after we went through Of Mice and Men, The Crucible, and Taming of the Shrew.
I hated analysing it.
Considering it was not my type of book at all I quite liked it. The analyzing was a bitch though.
i loved it. one of the best stories ive read in school. i consider atticus to be a hero.

We watched the movie and that made me wanna gauge my eyes out.
Watch the film. It's faster, and Atticus has the voice of Zeus.
Pretty good book in my opinion. As for the crucible, that book was nails on the chalkboard for me.
[sp]the old man who's portrayed as an ass is nice. scout gets attacked and almost killed at the end. the "town drunk" isn't really drunk, it's coca cola.[/sp]
I will say though that Atticus Finch is a badass name
boring imo
It's a metaphor you twit Also...the book was great but the movie was meh
He was joking, idiot. The arrogance of FacePunchers these days..
"Mockingbirds don't do one thing but make music for us to enjoy. They don't eat up people's gardens, don't nest in corncribs, they don't do one thing but sing their hearts out for us. That's why it's a sin to kill a mockingbird."
I had to read this book in school, wasn't my favourite book. It is a pretty good book, just not really my genre
One of the best things to be written on paper.
Never listen to a girl named after the narrator of To Kill a Mockingbird, Scout.
I read it once, ages ago, I think I was about eleven-ish, maybe older. Probably too young, as I didn't understand most of it. Did that guy really [sp]fall on his own knife[/sp]? [editline]09:57PM[/editline]
Pretty good book in my opinion. As for the crucible, that book was nails on the chalkboard for me.
Jesus Christ the fucking Crucible. "And then Hale came in AND HERE IS WHY MCCARTHYISM IS EVIL OK LET ME CONTINUE FOR EIGHT PAGES". It's appalling. I love Of Mice and Men, though, even if we do have to over-analyse the shit out of it. Carol-Ann Duffy can rot in hell.
I read this back in english class and saw it at a goodwill so I picked it up. It's been too long since I read it so I might pick it up every now and then.
Did that guy really [sp]fall on his own knife[/sp]
[sp]No. It was a cover up, Boo Radley killed him.[/sp]
It was good but would not read it again. Its about blacks vs. whites, old vs. young, males vs. female, and other shizz. Read it if you want.
I don't really like this book, it was pretty boring in my opinion
It's a good book, nuff said.
I really liked the trial bit, but apart from that I found it literally painful to read. Could have something to do with a vegan feminist trying to get us to read in two weeks, but still.
I would have liked it if it wasn't given to us to make us work harder because we all did horrible on the test Yeah he did that on purpose
It's alright in the beginning, but I always thought it was waaaaay overrated, and rather uninteresting.
The beginning is the shittiest part of the book. Shit doesn't start to happen until [sp]Miss Maudie's house burns down[/sp]
