I've had my diesel is moderately cold places, as in, snow.

Get a proper truck for the job, that's nothing but a family SUV with a huge engine. If I had to tow around huge trailers around I would still go for the less powerful F-350 or something, it was designed specifically for that job, and it has duallies.

Mondeo sounds Classy, yet "anonymous" to me.

It was surprisingly comfortable (almost Mercedes like, but only almost.) and had a wicked amount of torque to throw the wheels around.

That's an SUV though. I wouldn't consider it as a familycontainer just as much. I've driven some of those though, they're really nice. And very good looking.
I'm currently in this Mazda/Ford/Kia dealer, and I get to drive tons of cars every day. Pretty cool.
