Gah, the check engine light came on in my car yesterday, so I took it to service. They changed the solenoid valve for free thanks to warranty.
Then today another problem, but far less problematic: low washer fluid. So I bought Rain-X washer fluid. Anybody here try it? Does it keep the rain off the windshield as well as advertised?

Yes but it leaves nasty gunk on anything that isn't your windshield, this includes all over your hood.
