Or just make the car alarm disable the fuel pump too, whichever is easier.

I learned to drive a manual (most people in the UK do) then I went out and bought a car without power steering, although I regret it slightly (it has no luxuarys, no power steering, no ABS, no electric windows, nothing electronic basically)

It's quite cheap for it's performance, but doesn't really offer much in the way of much else.
