That just looks awful though.
It kind of looks like a shoddy custom design, if you ask me.
You all have ugly headunits :v:

those calculator-like displays annoy me, if you're gonna spend big bucks on a nice headunit at least get one with a screen that's pleasant to look at :v:
I need a new CD-player in my car....
it doesn't play some songs on every CD I have and then sometimes it plays songs it couldn't play before (it tries to play the song but after a couple of seconds the display shows ERROR and it returns to radio) and it's very sensetive... when I close the door or drive on a bumpy road the songs lag and sometimes I get the awesome ERROR again.
But I don't have money for a new one :saddowns:

If you can spare a hundred bucks they're worth it, they play mp3's too so you can just stuff all your songs onto a disk. I've got about a hundred songs on a single disk with room to spare.

BADASS :v:
I posted this in the Muscle Cars thread but it seemed pretty dead, so here we go.
I have a '67 Chevelle sitting in my driveway right now, its name is the Prinz Eugen, named after the German warship. My Grandpops named it that because HIS grandfather's Navy ship was unable to keep up with the Prinz Eugen in WWII and it escaped. The ship was strong and fast, so it only made sense to name a strong and fast muscle car after it.
It's a shame, though. You see, my grandfather has gone a little crazy over the years (shirtless 24/7, eats squirrels and shit, lives in the house of my late great grandfather that's falling apart, etc.) so the Prinz Eugen has just been rusting away underneath a tarp in my driveway for years now, and we can't put a cent into it because my grandfather will just take it back and drive it around with all of our hard work put into it. So as fucked up as it sounds, we have to wait for him to die before we can restore the mighty Prinz Eugen.
And of course, pictures as proof. The "now" picture was taken 3 days ago.

It really is a shame, it has the original engine in it with matching numbers, it needs a few parts that were stolen from it before we got it back, like a carburetor among other things.
Does anyone have any advice on how to learn to wire stereos and such? I want to upgrade my stock system but don't know where to start.
A lot of reading. There are a lot of guides online, and the stereo may come with directions itself.
Or take an electrical engineering course like some of us and just rewire everything whenever you change something. That's what I tend to do.

My mazda made this ungodly loud oscillating echo in the header at highway speeds.
It gave you a headache almost instantly, but sounded cool till your head was pounding.

That would not be very hard to restore at all...
It's really in great shape, you just don't realize it.

He didn't say it was hard, he said that he had to wait for his grandfather to die before fixing it.
It is in pretty decent shape. Top looks like it might need replaced, and that surface rust is nothing to get rid of. Steel Wool the chrome and it will look brand new, then clean and paint it.
also, the grandfather problem. Just leave it under the tarp while your restoring it =D
and make sure you do something to make it impossible to run, like adjust the distributor 180 degrees off when your not messing with it.
Uuuugh. I think I'm going to start scrapping cars. Can't find a job that fits my schedule so fuck it. Expand the family business.

The perfect truck, in my opinion.
Reliable.
Tough as nails.
Good size.
I love it.

Spoiler on a pickup truck is like putting makeup on a pig imo
but rising it up would be nice :v:
Doing anything to it would be terrible

Well it's not a reflection, more likely a shadow. That means they're misaligned.
Also, that is the other side. Maybe it's just so badly built that one side is perfect and the other is gaping, lol.

Looks like its missing some parts, and some have been switched out. The grille has been switched out, the bumper might have been, the trim around the wheel wells and the trim along the side is missing, emblems are missing, and thats all i see right now. Won't be hard to fix it, just might take a while to find replacements for the missing parts that are in good condition.

Download a service manual for your car, along with wiring diagrams. That and common sense is how I did mine.
One of my friends just bought a honda civic which is a complete ricer... oh god..

:fappery: a 67 396 SS Convertable. Fucking awesome.
Impractical. :v:
Not really. Huge trunk, seating for four, decent gas mileage when you keep your foot out of it.
Who cares if its impractical. if you can afford to rebuild one, you can afford the gas, and probably a second "more practical" car.
And what you concidering "decent" gas millage. 396 will get you 12 - 13mpg (like 18L/100km) HIGHWAY. lol.
that's decent for a fourty-three year old car, don't you think?
