Alright. Yeah, I suppose I sounded like a cock, I'm sorry. I insta-rage when I see aftermarket parts on a car, it's nothing personal. :)
it's all good brosef
1) It was planned out and engineered in Japan. Where it was built doesn't bother me, but which country was in charge of making it does. And it shares a platform with the Volvo S40, so that's also good enough for me. 2) Wrong. 18. 3) Yes, I do. My model isn't listed in the Scosche website for whatever reason. Go cry about it. 4) Terrible example? How? It's accurate enough.
That's all fine and dandy. Guess how much vehicle design gets outsourced from the big 3? GM is a single company. GM is the shitty version of Chevy. Got a bailout because its shitty. Accurate enough to prove you have no idea what your talking about. Edit: K, you quit being a cock. Disregard this. Also, don't be hatin on the aftermarket performance :< Some of us work hard designing/building/installing that shit.

Ford, I'm not sure what they did, Mazda focused on body and rigidity, and then Volvo did the safety. Out of this, Ford got the Focus, Volvo got the S40, and Mazda got the 3. There's still the fair share (especially in a shitty city like Winnipeg, anyway :v:) of people who just buy a 90's Honda, slap a cherry bomb and some sort of useless spoiler, and then call it a day. Living in a city like Winnipeg does indeed give a bad name to aftermarket solutions, and I guess I've never seen a well done one in person on the streets here yet. [editline]05:50AM[/editline] Hmm, actually there are quite a few more cars using this platform than I thought. Here's a list, but it stays within Ford, Mazda, and Volvo: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_C1_platform EDIT again: Wait, actually, after further investigation from: http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m3012/is_1_184/ai_112680862/ it's determined that Mazda focused on the powertrains, Volvo focused on vehicle chassis structure and safety and Ford of Europe focused on suspension.
Datsun
I would kill for that car.
Oh you people. I could just throw up when I see somebody modifying the shit out of his street car in an attempt to make it sporty. However, do you see me complain about it. Shut the fuck up and let them do whatever they want.
Steelies painted Matte black = fuckwin. plus they are cheap as fuck. And on a completely unrelated note:
steel wheels are awesome
Right, go ahead and dismiss my posts as shit just because I'm not brainwashed by all the stupid motorsport attitude most people in this thread have, as if anyone here was a professional racer, let alone got out of probation. Owning a fast car doesn't mean you're a good driver, and thus doesn't mean the modifications are necessary. But yeah, my posts are shit just because I like spending money on, oh I don't know, shit that matters as opposed to stupid wheel covers.
I would scan my racing license for you, but, it'd probably be against some law. And, I am officially semi-professional, but, when I get older, I really hope I can make it in either GT or Formula.
Alright. Yeah, I suppose I sounded like a cock, I'm sorry. I insta-rage when I see aftermarket parts on a car, it's nothing personal. :) Personally, I've spend around 500-ish on my car so far on mostly little things like a pair or two of Sylvania Silverstar Ultra headlight bulbs, an amplifier (600x1, I don't care if it's not on the goddamn website,) a Sony Xplod 1300w subwoofer, windshield wipers, etc. I did a bit more work with my previous vehicle, a 1994 Chrysler/Plymouth Voyager, but it eventually needed repairs that would cost more than buying a new car, so...
So basically, you turn your head and think "Wow!" whenever a Mazda 3 comes by? I drove 10 of those a day at my old job. I worked at a Mazda/Ford dealer, and the Mazda 3 was 10 times more plastic-y than the Fords such as Focus or Mondeo.
Meh, I just believe that it should be all spent towards things that affect driving and then finally looks as a last priority. I don't know about you, but I hate it when I see a stock generic Honda Civic with aftermarket spoilers and a cherry bomb and then have the driver going through traffic as if he was some sort of a professional. I'm not saying you're like that, but I'm saying that's why I have a strong opinion towards that.
A bit late, but http://www.amazon.com/s/qid=1264261979/ref=sr_st?keywords=17-inch+rims&rs=15684181&page=1&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3A17-inch+rims%2Ci%3Aautomotive%2Cn%3A15684181%2Cn%3A!15690151&sort=-price =/= to rice as ricers couldn't afford it if they sold their car.

The interior of the Mazda 3 is ugly in my opinion. It's trying way too hard that its just way too, ugh, what's the word for it... like, overly filled that it takes away the simplicity and elegance to the point where I wouldn't like it. [editline]01:47AM[/editline] It's too complicated to the point where it'd feel messy I guess. [editline]01:49AM[/editline] I much prefer simplicity, big buttons, and generally easy to understand. Like, the Touareg interior. :v: Without those awful pedals of course.

Yeah, I saw TopGear's review of the 3. It looked utterly horrible. The UK versions are not only weaker but their interiors look like ass. It's quite more solid in the U.S/Canada. It is still made out of plastic interior (never seen a car that didn't use plastic that costed 15,000, mind you) but it seems more solid here or something. It definitely doesn't bend in the same way it did in their review.
It's the same cluttered shit. Stop trying to defend your precious Mazda you hopeless fanboy.
Oh it's not that bad :v:
I actually drive a 2006 Mazda 3, so it looks a bit different. And I didn't say the U.S. version looked different, I said the plastic was seemingly thicker. That's true for the case of pre-2010 3's, but I don't know about the 2010 models. [editline]06:37PM[/editline] And how is that cluttered? It looks awesome, in my opinion...
- 2 Screens - Puny Buttons - Lots of Buttons (This is 2010, just put a screen and a simple layout for all the non necessities) - Way too complicated on the steering wheel etc.
Hmm, I agree. My mom's CX-7 has also a ton of buttons and an annoying steering wheel layout. But meh, you get used to it. :v:
Did some donuts today :)

I just backed into my families minivan. I'm not sure if I feel awesome for helping wreck a POS minivan, or shitty for scratching my Hondas passenger rear valence. I'll take pictures of it tomorrow before I fix it. Also, My honda is shitty and I hate most hondas, but I've spent a long time fixing it up so I hate fucking it up again.
