I know, but I love the SRT8 jeep SOOOO much. Luxury SUV that can kick the fuck out of most sports cars. and I was going to buy a new Ford diesel, but I've got that '72 chevy pickup now that will pull a trailer for a while. Would prefer a diesel for highway mileage, but meh.
A raised Chevrolet Suburban is the most badass offroader :v: [img]http://www.4x4offroads.com/image-files/1990-chevrolet-suburban-46-xmas125.jpg[/img]

Related: [quote]Check out this Japanese television clip where a guy in a GMC Typhoon smokes an Acura NSX with an automatic and comes close to beating a twin-turbocharged Toyota Supra. 0-to-60 MPH was 5.3 seconds. Yeah, it's fast.[/quote] [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqO6uZ0ZhX8[/media] [url=http://jalopnik.com/5462617/just-how-fast-was-the-gmc-typhoon]Source[/url] <-- Really, really impressive, but I'm still liking the GC SRT8 better :P
In the post today came a letter from a company that books a weekend thing to see the British Grand Prix (I went 2008 season), I'd love to go again, but it costs alot at £250 for standing tickets (£310 for seated tickets). Although the price does include travel there, and a night in a hotel. I'd love to go with friends, would be such a laugh, I reckon I could afford it easily but I dunno if any of my mates would be up for it. If not, then I reckon I'm going to have to booking be tickets for touring cars or something at Brands as they only cost about £30.
[QUOTE=coolrider102;19920037]What does facepunch think of the 1995 Ford Thunderbird (V8 LX Coupe) [IMG]http://websites.dealershipids.com/eastside/img/m365.jpg[/IMG] [IMG]http://websites.dealershipids.com/eastside/img/367.jpg[/IMG] Year: 1995 Make: Ford Model: Thunderbird Trim: LX Coupe 2D Enigine: V8 4.6 Liter Transmission: Automatic Drivetrain: RWD Hopefully it will be my first car :D[/QUOTE] I like how in Britain your first car is a 0.9 - 1.3 litre engine because anything higher and the insurance is well over £2,000, whereas in America your first car is a 4.6
[QUOTE=matt.ant;20023306]I like how in Britain your first car is a 0.9 - 1.3 litre engine because anything higher and the insurance is well over £2,000, whereas in America your first car is a 4.6[/QUOTE] But do you [B]REALLY[/B] need a 4.6L engine, when you're young and most likely drives like shit?? The reason the Brit's have so high insurance on anything moderately fast, is to keep young retards from crashing in fast cars & causing more damage, then what a 1.0L Opel/Vauxhall Corsa can.
[QUOTE=Van-man;20020960]But why is there a snow-shovel in the picture then?[/QUOTE] Too much snow for people to walk to it :v:
I want my own car... Now ):<
[QUOTE=matt.ant;20023306]I like how in Britain your first car is a 0.9 - 1.3 litre engine because anything higher and the insurance is well over £2,000, whereas in America your first car is a 4.6[/QUOTE] I love in Britain insurance companies think that engine displacement = engine power and the likelyhood of you crashing your car. I love how in Britain my 2.0l S2000 is probably cheaper to insure then that slow 4.6l plushmobile just because of the displacement.
[QUOTE=Van-man;20023443]But do you [B]REALLY[/B] need a 4.6L engine, when you're young and most likely drives like shit?? [/QUOTE] I'd hate to think how much the petrol costs, especially with Britain's petrol prices, I'm struggling to afford petrol for my 1.2 Punto

[QUOTE=Siminov;20029106]You don't need a 4.6L You need a 5.7L Camaro Z28 :q:[/QUOTE] My credit card disagrees with you :saddowns: And so does all the parking spaces and tight turns in my area. [B]EDIT:[/B] [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbSKlPSE4aw&fmt=18[/media] Toyota Supra sounds.
[QUOTE=Siminov;20029106]You don't need a 4.6L You need a 5.7L Camaro Z28 :q:[/QUOTE] i have one of those. well it isn't a z28 but it has a 350 in it
I found a 6.0 with an Alison for my '72 pickup :D
My car has a 1,6!!!
[QUOTE=matt.ant;20028696]I'd hate to think how much the petrol costs, especially with Britain's petrol prices, I'm struggling to afford petrol for my 1.2 Punto[/QUOTE] I feel your pain, my 1.6 ford seems to drink the stuff, all my mates with their rubbish c1s and aygos are getting like 50mpg and I'm lucky to get 30, it would be almost buying a rubbish car like that, except then I wouldn't be able to fit my mates in the back, or anything in the boot and it wouldn't be any fun to drive. Infact the c1 I had as a replacement when, shock horror my insurance actually paid out to repair my car, felt like it was going to fall apart at any moment at 70.
SUVs are fugly, get a real car that can go in the terrain if you have to.
[QUOTE=evilking1;20040303]SUVs are fugly, get a real car that can go in the terrain if you have to.[/QUOTE] WHAT!? :byodood: You can't be serious :ohdear:
[QUOTE=Ldesu;20040314]WHAT!? :byodood: You can't be serious :ohdear:[/QUOTE] They are, regular sedans bit rised up and bigger wheels, then just streched from all angles. A real old land rover is a goddamn pretty car, and it really isn't afraid of dirt and shit.

It's just that anything much more that 1.3L for a new driver is expensive to insure. The other day I saw a Grand Cherokee SRT8... yesterday a black Mercedes-Benz ML 63 AMG passed by the bus stop... [B]HOLY SHIT THAT THING IS GORGEOUS!!!!![/B] Here's some pics I've found, enjoy :q: [img_thumb]http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/200811/mercedes-ml-63-amg-p-3_1600x0w.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/200811/mercedes-ml-63-amg-p_1600x0w.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/200811/mercedes-ml-63-amg-p-1_1600x0w.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/200811/mercedes-ml-63-amg-p-4_1600x0w.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/200811/mercedes-ml-63-amg-p-5_1600x0w.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/200811/mercedes-ml-63-amg-p-6_1600x0w.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/200811/mercedes-ml-63-amg-p-7_1600x0w.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/200811/mercedes-ml-63-amg-p-8_1600x0w.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/200811/mercedes-ml-63-amg-p-10_1600x0w.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/200811/mercedes-ml-63-amg-p-12_1600x0w.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/200811/mercedes-ml-63-amg-p-13_1600x0w.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/200811/mercedes-ml-63-amg-p-14_1600x0w.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/200811/mercedes-ml-63-amg-p-15_1600x0w.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/200811/mercedes-ml-63-amg-p-16_1600x0w.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/200811/mercedes-ml-63-amg-p-17_1600x0w.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/200811/mercedes-ml-63-amg-p-18_1280x0w.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/200811/mercedes-ml-63-amg-p-19_1600x0w.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/200811/mercedes-ml-63-amg-p-20_1600x0w.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/200811/mercedes-ml-63-amg-p-21_1600x0w.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/200811/mercedes-ml-63-amg-p-22_1600x0w.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/200811/mercedes-ml-63-amg-p-23_1600x0w.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/200811/mercedes-ml-63-amg-p-24_1600x0w.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/200811/mercedes-ml-63-amg-p-25_1280x0w.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/200811/mercedes-ml-63-amg-p-26_1600x0w.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/200811/mercedes-ml-63-amg-p-27_1600x0w.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/200811/mercedes-ml-63-amg-p-28_1600x0w.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/200811/mercedes-ml-63-amg-p-29_1600x0w.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/200811/mercedes-ml-63-amg-p-36_1600x0w.jpg[/img_thumb] You san say what you want about germans, but they sure build some nice-looking SUVs (except the Porsche Cayenne... never really liked it :v:)
