I have a question: what is with the male obsession over cars? I've never understood why other guys seem to be in love pieces of metal and plastic whereas I seem to see them as simply a means for moving from point A -> point B in a simple fashion. Can somebody clear this up for me?
Just a common interest. There's a huuuge car culture basically, and it's not just looking at pics and vids of cars. When you see a car of your dreams in real life, it's something "magical".
Can't be explained and doesn't really need to, like many other interests.

Well for most people a computer is a simple appliance for banking and doing schoolwork and shit, for others it's an awesome machine for playing games and whatnot.
Cars are fun k? Drive something fun and you'll understand.

I'd sell my house, my daily driver, wife and kids, and my shoes to afford a Supra like that. I'd just sleep in the turbo.

anyway I'm going to bed now, it's 2:55, so good night Cars thread <3
I don't remember if I showed you, anyways here it is again if I did.
My friend Kim's Supra, he had the engine built in USA for 160,000 danish kroners. Built from scratch, and basically what he said to the engine guy was: "I don't care about the cost, just use the best of the best of every single piece you put in it".
This is the result, puts out 800 hp at the wheels now with this mid sized turbo. If he put in a bigger turbo he could easily get 1000 hp he says. I REALLY don't see the point though  500 hp would be enough for me.

FEROSSO. I found a turbo supra for 10k on craigslist :3:
For the people who disagreed with me at my post, i would like to know why it's bad to have it as a car.(TAKE IN MIND, i can't drive a 500hp skyline or a 700hp mustang, you have to be goddamn realistic please, this isn't the USA we are talking about but Denmark and buying and insuring a skyline like car, would cost more than a flat. So it's pretty much impossible to insure anything above 2.0 engine size)

I can tell you that getting even a small car and insuring it is expensive as fuck here in the USA.
Or maybe that's just in this state, I don't know.

Then tell my why most kids at the age of 16 years drive 4.8 liters V8 or something in that direction?
Probably only your state.
You can buy a goddamn mustang for like 5k$ and here they cost 25$ even for the shittiest one.

Just as 'expensive' as your gas? I constantly see everyone complaining about it but your prices aren't even half of ours.
The US sure is the best country for owning a car in the western world.

well most kids over here are idiots and want huge ass trucks and 800hp mustangs; and are rich so they can afford them.
My first car is probably going to be under $1k. Can't really get shit for that here. I know someone that's selling a Toyota Carina [sp]parts car[/sp] for motherfucking $1200. :gonk:
