Polish Pierogi for comparision with russian Pirozhki.
Main diffrence is probably that we fry them instead of baking.
Healthy =! taste
Just cause it's Healthy does not mean it will not taste good.
Kissel looks good, but it isn't, not for me. It's more of a water + berries. Oh and it's similar to jelly.
Pirogi are polish.
Polish and Russians share similar foods and culture, Polish are Western Slavics and Russians are Eastern Slavics.
Looks like pizza.
are you blind
Just cause it's Healthy does not mean it will not taste good.
No, but it doesn't look like it looks good either
Pirozhki looks fucking delicious are you kidding me.
Pirozhki looks fucking delicious are you kidding me.
They ARE delicious, trust me.
I always thought kissel is known worldwide.
It's like jelly, except more fluid and dense.
And borsch is one of my favourite soups, especially with potatoes.

Welcome to the forums, mate. And Kurinyj means Chicken. So it's a Kurinyj Bouljon
I made borsch for my foods class last week. Afterward it felt like it was trying to claw it's way out of my stomach, and I didn't even eat much of it!
I have a feeling the recipe I used lied to me. It tasted like salty pickles.
Never actually tried Russian food, but damn, some of them look really fucking tasty!
I've had Kulebyaka before. Good stuff.
I live next to Russia and these are all very common in Estonia
are you blind
Yes, becuase I couldn't possibly make that comparison.
Looks so good!
I don't really know anything about Russian food, but that Kissel drink looks good :v:.
Yes kissel is good
and kvas is really REALLY mildly alcoholic
But it's made out of bread though.

Most of the stuff you posted is disgusting, though.

I remember eating these kolduns as a kid in the days, they were fucking delicious
Untill corporations decided to make the dough thiner, wich let the water trough, wich afterwards they tasted fucking disgusting.
[editline]06:14PM[/editline]
Kissel is like, well, imagine a soft drink, but much more umm... dencer? sludgier? Dunno, something like that.
Just cause it's Healthy does not mean it will not taste good.
Sure, but he was saying that it's "far more healthy than hamburgers". Which is probably true, but that doesn't mean it tastes better than hamburgers :-)

Actually since Kvass is made of fermented rye it has an alcohol content of about 0.05 - 1.45%, although that is low enough that children are allowed to drink it.

Sbiten is prepared with herbs, honey and spices. Non-alcoholic. It's very rare, it's hard to prepare, but it's the most delicious drink on Earth.

What? Sbiten isn't rare at all, it isn't hard to make, nor is it the most delicious drink on earth.
1/2 cup of pure honey
1 tsp of cloves
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tsp ginger
16 ounces (1 lb) blackberry jam
10 1/4 cups water ( or wine)
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 mint leaf (optional)
What's hard about that? These are all common ingredients.
What? Sbiten isn't rare at all
I've never ever ever heard of it.
You have to boil it for more than 2 hours, adding ingredients one by one by minutes.

So you need to be attentive and pay attention?
That's incredibly difficult.
