The only rapper I could say I'm actually a fan of, I'm gonna check out some of the other artists mentioned here though. The song 'Kim' is brilliant I think.
Aussie hip hop is your friend
Pretty much this. I can't stand any other kind of rap/hip hop etc., but Australian Hip Hop is the fucking bomb.

Drapht >>>> Hilltop Hoods and BnE
Drapht >>>> Hilltop Hoods and BnE
I've found his voice unbearable since that "Where's Elvis" song which featured him.
this seems to imply you listen to old school rap which I highly doubt
I do.
snipsnap

Asher Roth oh my god hahaha
eminem only got big because he was white and marketed as such if you ask me far better rappers existed around his time and area
Even if he was black, his wordplay tops anybody else in the mainstream
Even if he was black, his wordplay tops anybody else in the mainstream
It really doesn't, his wordplay is pretty weak these days, and back when he was big there were plenty of dudes who could fuck w/him on that level.
Even if he was black, his wordplay tops anybody else in the mainstream
pff mainstream could mean anything but even then that wouldn't be true
this is what happens when bad meets evil
It really doesn't, his wordplay is pretty weak these days, and back when he was big there were plenty of dudes who could fuck w/him on that level.
Well then I guess I interpret his lyrics in a way unique from my interpretations of other artists. [editline]25th February 2011[/editline] And he isn't "overrated" since he actually is a top artist with 80M record sales.
I feel bad for Em. He goes through rehab, wants to release Relapse (which was awesome) and Proof gets shot, releases Relapse and everyone is all "SHADY'S BACK EOHROSIHFAFDAJ" so when he goes to release Recovery, which I knew just from the name it would be a serious rap album, like the (song) Marshall Mathers, it really let some people down. Now I hear Dre is gonna stop producing(?) I hope he can get back into control for a minute and calm down and do some more un-serious shit. (i.e. Just Lose It)
Well then I guess I interpret his lyrics in a way unique from my interpretations of other artists.
Cause he's white? :smug: [editline]26th February 2011[/editline] But seriously, "put my dick in a circle and still ain't fuckin around" is terrrrrible :v:
Even if he was black, his wordplay tops anybody else in the mainstream
Nas is better, Kanye West is better, Big Boi (although only 1 album) will be better than whatever he makes in the future and Jay-Z is a lot more of a legend. Eminem is a great artist, but "Love the Way You Lie" and "Not Afraid" are simply not as inspired or as good as "The Way I am" or "Real Slim Shady".
Nas is better, Kanye West is better, Big Boi (although only 1 album) will be better than whatever he makes in the future and Jay-Z is a lot more of a legend. Compare Stan to Runaway.
Eminem has a fuck ton more singles than any of those artists
OH!! Then he MUST be better. :downs: But in all seriousness, Jay Z has made more records than Eminem. Also a better rapper I feel. Superb album. [editline]26th February 2011[/editline] Apparantly This is a good album, anyone heard it?
[img_thumb]http://edge-img.datpiff.com/mbf39381/Eminem_Fuckin_Yzarc-back-large.jpg[/img_thumb]
What the fuck is this? These aren't even his songs, just songs he has verses in. If I said this accurately represents Jay-Z, then yeah I would sound like a dumbass too. [editline]26th February 2011[/editline] And taking words out of my quote demeans the point I'm trying to make
What the fuck is this? These aren't even his songs, just songs he has verses in.
So it's bad, I'm guessing. :3:
So it's bad, I'm guessing. :3:
Not really... Forgot About Dre is a classic. If you wanna play this game, Amy Winehouse is garbage, so that makes Jay-Z bad because he sang a verse in the remix, right? If we're following your logic, that's a legitimate argument.
I wasn't talking about Amy Winehouse, although her Back In Black album is pretty good. Give Reasonable Doubt a listen. Relevent to our arguement. :smug:
I still like old Eminem better than new Eminem, but I still respect him the same way. I think that the old Eminem when he WANTED to be Slim Shady was good because despite the fact he could have care-free and hilarious raps, he could also do raps that were serious, and about his life. Now it's just very much about his life and he's just trying to change his sound up a little bit. However, if anyone actually bought Recovery if you listened to the one Untitled Song on there, you could tell he still could turn into his "Slim Shady" persona of rapping.
I wasn't talking about Amy Winehouse
And I wasn't talking about any of these artists:
although her Back In Black album is pretty good.
Nah
And I wasn't talking about any of these artists: [img_thumb]http://edge-img.datpiff.com/mbf39381/Eminem_Fuckin_Yzarc-back-large.jpg[/img_thumb]
That's Eminem's "Fuckin' Yzarc" bootleg album. Who is to say I was talking to you only? I have heard it's good and you didn't help me.
this is what happens when bad meets evil
and we hit the trees till we look like vietnamese people (User was banned for this post ("Racism" - Uberslug)) (User was banned for this post ("Racism" - Uberslug))
Amy Winehouse did an album called Black In Black? [editline]27th February 2011[/editline] Just listened to it, sounds like what ACDC woud be without powerchords. Now I see why Back in Black was so successful!
