actually, i think the only badass one was the sniper with the parrot, others were cool that's true, but they were no match for snake especially the one who could strike bolts of lightning out of his ass, the hornet guy was awfully easy to beat and had no charisma, ocelot was just a kid and the pyromaniac cosmonaut was just some boss you never heard of until you killed him. anyway, wasn't the psychic guy a good guy ?? i thought he helped snake at some point with a password or something i can't help but notice all the tight latex
Honestly, that is kinda true. They were easy to beat, but you can't deny that all of them look pretty bad ass. And yeah, I think you're right about the psychic guy, it was a pretty long time since when I last played MGS3.
There are some awesome heroes too.
What about the main character from sin city, he's on par for the badass-ness of snake. Can't figure out if he's good or bad though, leaning towards good.

If heroes looked scarier and more badass than villains, you wouldn't be afraid of the villains, would you?
I'm pretty sure it's to examplify the rewards of either side of battle. Taking the less honorable route is the fast track to wealth and power, and the look of the character is made to reflect that. Good guys tend to not get get physical rewards, but take the moral high route instead, so they end up not looking cool. Basically, stay good and wear gay colors or go bad and wear black fuckin capes.
Bruce Wayne's character in the first Die Hard movie was a straight up hero (not an anti-hero/bad boy) and was incredibly awesome, he's the only person I can think of that fits your standards. Although even he looks like a regular guy.
Bruce Wayne? It's Bruce Willis. :v:

1. :downs: face 2. He doesn't fit the OP's description. [editline]11:15PM[/editline]
Bruce Wayne? It's Bruce Willis. :v:
Oh I knew I said something wrong
Heroes have to look "good" to the public eye. Uniform and fit for public service. Especially true to old fashion super heroes.
Villains are just bad asses

It goes along with the morals that the weaker little guy can rise up against the more bad-ass, stronger (and often smarter) villain through love or something like that. Kinda another example of Christianity invading our lives.
Heroes have to look approachable while villains, can look however the fuck they want.
Your opinion is wrong
Well that's, like, your opinion [editline]12:29AM[/editline] which is wrong
Pretty biased collection of pictures in the OP
Niko has a lot of morals, infact most of the protagonists aren't as bad in the cutscenes and story as they are in actual gameplay.
Yeah, but like at Tommy Vercetti, Carl Johnson, that-uhhhh... You know, that... the black jacket guy. I mean, GTA as a whole, is about being the badguy. Niko might have SOME morales, but I recall a few missions where he was pretty damn evil. Like, when that black guy comes out from jail and asks you to kill that other guy who's with his girlfriend, and you get to shoot the girlfriend. That makes him a badguy, no? [editline]11:33AM[/editline]
Pretty badass collection of pictures in the OP
Fixed. :v:
[IMG_thumb]http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/portfolio/images/gordon3.jpg[/IMG_thumb]
Yeah, this. I would also like to put forward:
this is badass
Yeah, this. I would also like to put forward:
True, but, villains had chainsaws waaaaaay before he did.
True, but, villains had chainsaws waaaaaay before he did.
True. But he made them really, really fucking cool.
True. But he made them really, really fucking cool.
So you'd consider this dull and mundane?
Because Villans can do whatever they want while good guys have to obey the rules of good. Good Guys probably couldn't afford the cool costumes while the villans probably just steal cool looking outfits.
