my stomach was huffing and puffing so much it was insane.
But she could replace her father and like all hero-arch stories, forge the biggest business empire.
Or just become steampunk batman.
Bruce Wayne did both, why not Asami?

Probably just because they're both from the Southern Water Tribe

Except Noatok was from the Northern Water Tribe
That boat scene had my haw drop, but just to say something new:
I really wish Bolin had more screen-time.
Oh man, I never watched the original series and I only watched the first two episodes until today. I finished the season. I'm really liking Korra's character, as sad and fanboy-ish as this might sound, I wish I knew somebody with her personality.
But yeah, I noticed how often the parachutes opened up. After a while I was really wanting to see one of the equalists get pegged in the forehead with a metal stake from the metal benders but I figured that would never happen. I was surprised about the [sp] boat explosion but I have a feeling that they could build off from there... bring back the blood bender...[/sp]
I don't know what they are going to do with the next season. I mean, [sp]she already has become the avatar, what else is there to do? Just defeat another equalist rebellion? [/sp]
Needless to say, I think I found my new favorite show for the moment.
Hoping Lin teaches Bolin metalbending during/before book two
Next season, nothing but bending tournaments, fire ferrets win it all.
Calling it now.

I didn't like how Aang popped out of fucking nowhere though. I thought it would be interesting to see at least an episode of korra adapting to an element she has never controlled before.
I always thought Saikhan just showed up halfway through to replace Lin, but he's been in the show since the premiere, according to the wiki. Neat.
Stop getting hyped like a 10 year old.
sorry for having deep appreciation of a good tv show
i'm sure you've been hyped for something before to a point unimaginable and if not then you're fucking weird
Question: Amon was able to block all of Korras bending powers, except Airbending. Could it be that if Amon tried to take Tenzins bending, it wouldn't have worked?
Question: Amon was able to block all of Korras bending powers, except Airbending. Could it be that if Amon tried to take Tenzins bending, it wouldn't have worked?
Pretty sure it's not the fact he can't block airbending but more like Korra not being able to airbend and thus Amon couldn't block. Can't block what the person can't do.
I s'pose they wrapped it up quite nicely just in case Nick didn't give the thumbs up for season two or just scratched it (doubt they would, but better to be safe than sorry).
Something that surprised me is that Asami didn't turn to the dark side despite the treatment she's been having recently.
As said above, I hope Bolin gets some more lines this season, isn't he the Sokka of the new gang? Or at least some metal bending training and an actual love interest.
I want to see Bumi and Meelo interact, that'll be awesome.
[sp]Lost her mother, father and boyfriend
Writers really don't give a shit about her lol[/sp]
[sp]And dad tried to kill her[/sp]
Sure is a lot of fangirl service on this show. Many Asian models. People even think the lieutenant is handsome.
Time slot for the reruns with commentary (july 9th-20th) is going to be 9PM it looks like.

[sp]This episode was brutal, at least what, 3 or 4 deaths?
When Amon picks up the Lieutenant with his bloodbending, you can hear a snap, just after he said: "You served me well", and he doesn't get up at all afterwards. That was one of the most disturbing scenes, along with the boat scene. Amon betrays his most loyal subject and discards him like a broken toy. Man.[/sp]
Also usually when people are thrown with blood bending [sp]you hear them yell as they're thrown. In that scene the lieutenant was silent.[/sp]
Not sure if we're still spoiler tagging things, but I'll be safe.
Anyone else disappointed that [sp]Amon's backstory wasn't fleshed out enough? I may not have been paying enough attention, mind you, but I felt having literally everything about Amon from his backstory to his downfall to his death forced into about 40 minutes was a little confusing and lacked some depth that would have been awesome.[/sp]
I hope one of the next villains or minor minions takes up Amon's mask, because that thing was cool.
Oh god the Amon and Tarrlok scene. A mixture of shock and sadness.
We still don't know who Lins dad is.
