This one is mine. It has been...equalised...?
I'd take the Bumi one but Blue's can't have animated avatars. :(
avatar avatars [editline]24th June 2012[/editline] i am tire
Oh how I wish this was my avatar.
I know I'm a bit late to the part here, but where can I start watching this? I fell in love with the first show, and I pissed myself like an excited dog when I heard about this. My internet in my American home is shit, so torrenting is taking forever, and all the streams I saw have the shittiest quality possible.
Also this is hilarious to me for some reason. That fucking face.
So I'm on /co/ and found this, with all honestly I like this picture.
Asami was too good for a two-timing street rat like Mako anyways
Asami was too good for a two-timing street rat like Mako anyways
Bolin seems like a guy who'd treat Asami well.
avatar avatars i am tire
Why does Garry has to be so restrictive to avatars :(
I really wished they gave Bolin more. It goes back to that one article complaining about the character developments. I liked Bolin and I felt for him when he got friendzoned, but after that, all he did was provide stupid comic relief (a lot of it wasn't even that funny). If Bolin died in the finale, I would be surprised if any of the characters would even care since they never seem to acknowledge him (and why would they? Sure he bends but he doesn't provide anything with the story, he's just goofy). Sokka is goofy too, but at least he seems to have feelings and has a say in what happens in the story. I personally wouldn't have cared if he died, he's just that uninteresting. I loved the finale and how dark it was, but I don't get how could they screw up Bolin so bad when they did so well with Sokka.
Why does Garry has to be so restrictive to avatars :(
Well a blue can take the first one if auto resizing works
Thanks for the new avatar ! have a heart
guys guys guys everybody can be equal because everyone can get bending (korra)
The Avatar can restore bending that was taken away. It's never been established that she can grant new bending powers as she pleases. Also, it wouldn't be very practical, The Avatar would have to visit quite a lot of people.
Nobody knows where to start watching this?
YAAAHOOOOO [editline]24th June 2012[/editline] wait what why is it not animating [editline]24th June 2012[/editline] Too large :( [editline]24th June 2012[/editline] Guess I'll just use this one, some of those (bumi and captain iroh I checked) don't work.
Nobody knows where to start watching this?
As in, a website? Because there's this website that lists popular series, information about them and interesting links. and people just happen to provide links to the actual episodes hosted on third party websites and the creators are in no way involved or responsible for any infringement that might be inadvertently caused You might want to look into it. Try to ignore the links to the actual episodes though, those rascals and their copyright infringement! We're just in it for the IMDb synopsis.
I am kinda surprised that the avatar I just made wasn't made already, cool for me I guess :) Check it.
just watched epi 11 fucking amazing, can't wait to watch 12
Watch it right now!
avatar avatars [editline]24th June 2012[/editline] i am tire
pretty awesome but mine is the best~
Practice your bending as you wait for the next season. Honestly, gentlemen, what are internal organs to a man with a mustache enchanted with +30 fortitude?
Why does Garry has to be so restrictive to avatars :(
Guys, new theory: Garry is Amon!
Guys, new theory: Garry is Amon!
Nah. If he were Amon, he'd be eliminating those oppressive high-and-mighty Gold Members. I see Garry as more of a Tarrlok anyways.
SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER What I liked • The emotional heights and suspension points were all hit spot-on. Most intense one for me personally the captured airbender family, but the boat's explosion will also stick in my mind. • Amon's reveal could've been handled so much worse, especially "he is... my brother!!" and it even made a bit of sense why he carried that mask, because his scar was made with lipstick or something. • Amon's "inner personality", something of a coward that ran away from home, ran away from his failed plan, and didn't even invest in a real scar. That's not cowardly for a normal human, but what makes it cowardly is the contrast with his Amon persona that seems like an untouchable force. • How they integrated the United Forces into the battle without losing focus from the group or making them the key to victory instead of the kids • How pretty much everyone had something to do this episode. What I didn't like • How airbending became Korra's ace up the sleeve. I like /that/ it became her ace, but I would've wanted more buildup, because for me she hasn't spiritually progressed in the slightest. In fact she once again proved what a thickheaded person she is by not complying with General Iroh's plans. That's the opposite of what airbending should be about. This by extension also confused the final scenes for me where she connects to Aang. • How low the emotional tension in Asami's battle was. She now literally has noone. Mako's away, her father's gone, her family's reputation will probably be in ruins or it'll be up to her to fix the whole mess. I would've wanted a more personal confrontation and more dynamic emotions. • How Amon pulled at Arthas in his backstory and just kind of went mad under the events which surprisingly leave his sibling way too unaffected for my taste. Just where does that gap come from? Didn't they undergo the same shit, just one was better at it? When did Amon get so arrogant and self-righteous and how didn't his father serve as the perfect example for the fact that evil dwells within people, benders or not. • Amon's swift fall. That dude didn't deserve to get off that easily. I wanted to make him see how everything he's worked for crumbles in front of his eyes, slips through his fingers. Ideally I wanted benders and non-benders to march against him for that extra bit of irony, but that's just an extra. I also would have wanted the characters finding out about Amon's true identity slower and over time, but I realize it would have deflated a lot of tension before the finale and might've done the pacing more bad than good in the big picture. • How romances were complicated instead of clarified and Bolin has been completely reduced to the funny guy in the background. Korra, Mako and Asami are still very much integrated into their personal struggles and emotional conflicts, Bolin feels very detached from the group. • How much new stuff was thrown at us and how Mr. Sato suddenly invents a century worth of stuff when we've only seen cars in the beginning. I mean robots and gloves , k, but now he just invents whatever is needed. • How we have to cut to all these parachutes but then two people obviously go out with a violent explosion. I mean I'm happy the latter was left untainted, but couldn't we have gotten a consistent tone throughout the finale and air it at a later time or something? • How swiftly Aang provided a cheap happy end, instead of Korra spiritually growing out of her weakness, maybe with a cheesy team hug. I mean, they were back at her home tribe. Would have been an excellent way to show that her parents still care about her. In fact, I really would've wanted them to have more emotional impact on Korra's return. • How we got Katara as a master healer, Korra as an ultimate healer in the avatar state, and Lin's not rid of her scarring. Seriously, what the fuck. SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER Overall I really liked it while watching, only a few parts like the cuts to the parachutes actually took me out of the experience. But the longer I think about it the less satisfied I am with how some things were handled, which only degrades it from "great" to "good" tho and is only because of the otherwise high quality standards of this show. Again, I really liked the emotional tension throughout the finale, and that's very important and tricky to get right.

Seriously, what the fuck.[/sp]
Well, for the first, [sp]Asami's not a very vocal character. She keeps things bottled up inside her, doesn't say much. Her going all DRAMA DRAMA ANGST ANGST would have been too out-of-character.[/sp] For the second, [sp]yeah, Bolin does seem to be the fourth wheel on this love triangle. But remember, they've got a whole new season to finish the story. I'm sure he'll really come into his own.[/sp] For the third, [sp]the aircraft don't really seem too technologically advanced. We seem to be about 1920's technology, which would make that level of tech reasonable. They've already had gliders for centuries, even non-airbending ones. Attaching an engine to an existing vehicle isn't too difficult. If anything, I'd say the robots are more technologically advanced than is reasonable - we *still* don't have that tech ourselves![/sp] And for the fourth, [sp]maybe Lin *wants* to keep the scar. AFAIR, we don't actually know the backstory behind that, so it could actually be important to her that she keeps it (think of Zuko's scar in the original series).[/sp]
The crunchy sounds when someone is being bloodbended make me cring.

Mate of mine has a pretty big scar on the left side of his face between his eye and ear. He says he doesn't even mind it anymore and anyone who knows him longer than a week wouldn't recognize him without.
