I'm liking this fan art, pretty funny, seeing as how it's not too implausible that they could've happened in a more serious tone. Some of them anyway.

It's funny how almost all of Lin and Tenzin's relationship is implied - Tenzin talks to Korra for about a minute, and the two make a few references to being "old friends", but nothing is directly shown. The fanart, on the other hand, has drawn them as infants, toddlers, kids, teens, young adults, and everywhere in-between. It's also funny how there are 15 Tenzin/Lin pictures for every Tenzin/Pema picture.
You know what would be crazy? OK, the current series is what, 1920s, 1930s level tech? Which would make the original series 1850s-ish, which seems right. What happens in a hundred, two hundred years from then? Space travel seems quite plausible within that timeframe. I mean, they're a bit behind on chemistry, but they make up for it with better metalworking skills and oh yeah, being able to control air. A good airbender could easily seal any leak on a spacecraft, which makes space travel much less risky. And if you follow the fan theory that each successive generation has greater bending powers, you could do some pretty crazy stuff. Asteroids are just earth, right? BAM - ASTEROIDBENDING. Airbenders would thrive in space - that would probably allow them to regrow their numbers pretty quickly, restore the Air Nomads to their pre-Hundred-Years-War state. Earthbenders, or rather, metalbenders, would also do decently well. Even firebenders wouldn't be useless in space, thanks to their lightning. But waterbending is kind of useless in space. Water is pretty scarce on real-world spacecraft - I guess they could help "recycle" it, but honestly, the non-bender sciencey types will do better. But still... imagine it. Avatar. IN SPACE! It could actually work. Avatar seems to work best when the world is in a technological transition. Original series, the world was on the cusp of steampunk - the Fire Nation entered it first, but soon enough everyone followed. In LoK, the world is entering dieselpunk - cars and engines and radios are common, but not universal. And it works. An Avatar series on the border of contemporary and science fiction could work.
The Atla series reminds me of Final Fantasy in a way due to strong emphasis on elements and combining technology with magic.
Started watching the Last Airbender again. Forgot how different it was at the start compared to Korra. I was about 10 when the first episode came out.
Official art by Joaquim Dos Santos - the top 5 "Korra Nation" people get the originals! if there's water on their moon they could harvest it with water benders.
If they want to go to the moon, they can just visit the koi fish pond :I

Maybe it's a village in the north pole. I mean the north pole is pretty friggin big.

So Water benders are stronger in a full moon, and Fire benders are stronger during Sozin's comet, and weaker during a solar eclipse, do all the of the elements have some kind heightening/lowering astrological events?

If he's wanted in Republic City, it can be assumed that the larger capital cities of the elemental nations have him on wanted posters for Interpol (United Forces?) to look out for him.
You know, I only just discover that Avatar: The Last Airbender was called The Legend of Aang in Europe.
man toph is so cool, recently became obsessed with her. maybe ill have to make some fanart

Imagine if they increased the episodes timing to an hour in the next season.
Imagine if they increased the episodes timing to an hour in the next season.
That would probably take several more year to create.
Apparently some people theorize that because of the lack of Bolin development, he was a figment of Mako's imagination all along. Hasook never left and Korra earthbended in probending etc. http://imgur.com/a/PjKuc (Flashiness kinda gets to me, but you get the gist)
