that's pretty functional

He also invented tanks and submarines and organised the shore landing of the combined water tribes and earth kingdom rebels.

all the more reason why sokka is awesome
"I can't listen to Avatar: The Last Airbender music, because it makes me think about the Avatar series and how much I miss it. Also, the fact that I will never be* able to bend an element, or meet Team Avatar."
It makes me sad how easily I can relate to this.
I like to pretend I'm bending sometimes

And that's why the Pyro is the best TF2 class.
When all your friends together and one of them happen to be the Avatar can't defeat a guy who can firebend with his mind, but killing him yourself with just a boomerang, that pretty much yells out Sokka is a functional team member. Hell he's one of the smartest people in the world if not the smartest. The Space Sword is just icing on the cake, to bad it's gone.

I like to pretend I can blood bend.
If you know what I mean

Toph reminds me of a tomboy girl which I used to hang out with, she even liked me once but it was too late.
Guys go try Kung Fu if you want to do cool shit like the benders. Ignoring the actual bending abilities, you can do some really badass stuff once you get good. Also its good for your body in general.

I misphrased that, I wanted Sokka to be useful in a fight against fire nation soldiers in combat. He was smart and definitely useful, but he never got to just walk into a room and take out everybody like toph or katara or aang. It would have been cooler if that happened.

I was with my friends in their pool and I'm like "LOOK I CAN WATER BEND!" In a really nerdy voice and they start beating the shit out of me:(

did you freeze yourself in a ball and wait 100 years to outlive them?
did you freeze yourself in a ball and wait 100 years to outlive them?
No, I'm not the Avatar, just a simple water bender.
I was putting my hands under the water and pushing my hands together so the water would shoot up a little to the surface.

Go try T'ai chi ch'uan if you're into Waterbending, Hung Ga kung fu for Earthbending, Northern Shaolin kung fu for Firebending, and Baguazhang for Airbending.
Whole time, nobody has even bothered questioning the deus ex machina of how Yakone, who had his face undergo surgery after losing his bending, has children that resemble him after the surgery, even though that's not how genetics work at all.

Learn all of them and feel like the Avatar! :v:

To be fair, he doesn't look radically different after his surgery (if anything, he made himself look younger) and Tarrlok and Noatak still bear resemblance to Yakone's former face (after all, some observant viewers were able to piece together that Tarrlok and Yakone were related based on the flashbacks by comparing their physical features).

They should do a miniseries on Iroh's military campaigns

I can't stand the new Iroh voice they had in Season 3 of LoA, very sad that Mako passed away. Would not want to see a new series about him unless they had the voice of Mako

The guy who replaced him did a pretty good job of replicating his voice, it was a bit higher pitched, and he copied all of his intonations and vocal characteristics. I could barely tell them apart, and the only noticeable difference was that his voice was slightly higher pitched.
Before I knew Iroh changed VA's I had always thought the change in voice was because of Zuko's betrayal of him and because of his time in prison
This was posted just a bit ago. It makes me so sad.

I didn't even notice Iroh's voice changed in TLA.
Great, I'm losing Nickelodeon and such so no more of the development specials for me.
It's more that they backed the story into a corner, bailed out with deus ex machinas errywher and completely cut the possibility of an overarching storyline between the seasons. All the bad guys are gone, there was nothing about the outside world mentioned, there doesn't seem to be any disaster and Korra can now bend all 4 elements removing the possibility of training being a part of the story.
Basically we're all worried that they've basically painted themselves into a corner and have nowhere to run with the series at all.
Yeah, going into the series I thought Korra wouldn't see Aman at all, much less confront him until the final season like the Firelord in TLA. In some way it seems like a reaction - a lot of episodes in TLA weren't very plot-relevant, but in retrospect that was something I liked about about the series. It made the world seem much deeper.
Once she lost her bending, I thought the remaining seasons could've been about restoring the connection to each element, but then Aang came in the last minute. That was kind of frustrating.
Hey, I've been hearing news that LoK will now have 52 episodes. Can anyone find any official confirmation on this other than people putting up stupid reaction images on tumblr?

Nevermind

Holy fuck yes. But if its like that, does this mean that each season will be a new villain/conflict? I mean, TLA spanned over three seasons revolving around one main conflict, and Korra's one season ended the first conflict. If they made the last two/three seasons around one conflict, wouldn't that be odd?
