I'm kind of interested in the origins of the Avatar. I'd imagine it'd be hard for the first one without the Avatar state.

Also, I finished watching A:TLA again. I actually understood the Lion Turtle this time. :v:
Oh jesus, three more seasons? Does that count the first season or is it planned to go up to book four?

up to book four
Is Suki in Team Avatar?
She is for the last few episodes, of TLA. But we don't really know after that.

The Gaang look awesome there. Since they went out of their way to do new designs for everyone this hopefully means we get to see more of them.

Also the animations from yesterday

Wow, I love the look of the spirit.
I kinda find it amusing to see how tall twinkle toes got.

it's awesome to get to see the whole old crew grown-up, especially katara and zuko since this is the first time we've seen them as adults
really excited to hear that season 2 will revolve around conflict with the spirit world

It really is sad that all of them, spare Katara, are really dead though. At least if they never made Korra, you could speculate what happened. I'm not saying that they shouldn't have made Korra, in fact, it's awesome, but I grew very attached to the Gaang. I don't really feel the same way about the new gang, maybe because of Asami, I just don't like her in general. Also, I feel that there is wayy too much romance going on, I mean, for TLA it took awhile for the romance to spark up B/T Aang and Katara.

Looks like they had to amputate.

Nah, the romance was there from the very first episode in TLA, but you have to remember that the Gaang was what, 12-14, while in LoK they are all 17-18-ish, so it's a lot more obvious in LoK.
They do make it extremely obvious that Aang liked Katara, alot of Aang's antics early in the show are for Katara's attention.

I always thought that it escalated in mostly end season 2 and the rest of season 3. I mean, it was obvious aang liked Katara since the beginning, but in Korra, they're kissing in the first season. I like the new approach in Korra, but it just isn't the same Avatar without the Gaang imo. I would've loved to see them at the age of 30 or something around there for a season or two, the short flashbacks really don't explain all that much. Like how did Sokka become a member of the Council? I always took him for a rebel, or at least somebody who disliked the law.
I really hope Koh makes a return because he was just so interesting for me.
why is there no rule 34 of Lin

Isn't Zuko still alive? I remember reading he just roams around the world now.

Yep he is still alive, pretty sure he will make an appearance in LoK
He continued to remain in power until 167 ASC when he relinquished the throne of the Fire Nation to his daughter and abdicated, but he still continues to travel the world as an ambassador for world balance, albeit in an unofficial capacity
Oh wow, I didn't even know that. But still, it would be awesome if they just set LOK back maybe 10-20 years, that way we at least see them, not in flashback-form.

Then Korra wouldn't be the avatar cause Aang would still be alive. Am I wrong?
I'm not really sad that most of the Gaang is dead. From all we can tell, they died happy. They all got pretty much happy endings to their stories, at least implicitly. Good families started, widely respected and admired (Aang got a friggen STATUE), no trauma that we've heard of.
It's actually a *good* *thing* when writers let characters have their happy ending and stick to it. Don't keep dragging the character through more trials and torment.

True. I guess there really was no way to include the gang in the show without altering it greatly. Shame.. oh well, I'll try to enjoy the new one. I already watched all of season 1 in a few hours, so I liked it.
With all the spirit world shenanigans coming up, the writers might find a way to bring back some of the old characters in some capacity.
I'm getting the feeling Amon was up to some spirit world shenanigans in the period between him leaving his brother and becoming an Equalist leader.
Maybe there's a link between Amon dying and the spirit world starting to wreck havoc in the physical world, Amon in this case being the spirit's initial solution to whatever problem they think needs to be fixed (equality, probably,) but being forced to take matters into their own hands after Amon was beaten.)

Whatever the case may be, I hope the entirety of the series wraps up as one big story like the previous series did.

I like the "My name is" badge on Zuko where he's started to write Zuko but then written Li next to it.
