I watched the entire original series (three seasons) this weekend, and I really don't have many complaints. It's a fantastic series.
My only real complaints are A: Toph didn't get enough episodes :<, and B: the last couple episodes with Zuko were kind of obvious, like the writers were like QUICKLY WE MUST SHOW THEM ALL BONDING. It felt like watching someone run companion quests in a video game or something.

puberty is one hella drug
You would think she would want nothing to do with Republic City at all considering how much she disliked cities in the original series
Just watched the two first episodes. It's great, it's at least what I expected, maybe even above.
Tenzin is a fun character, the calm guy in the mad house, if you can say so.

She didn't dislike cities, she disliked the authority of others.
If she's the one who enforces the rules, then A) she'd be happy, and B) god help the citizens.

You must not be justice.

I think that was intentional. :v:
it was pretty funny how many blind jokes they had in the original series.

Keeping it classy Nickelodeon.
Heh, that Audio is from Little Kuriboh's Naruto Parody.
But it fits so well.
Just watched the first 2 episodes, love it.
I think it's quite funny that Toph first used metal bending to escape from a cell
No idea who she married to
I'm led to believe it might actually be Sokka, when they were traversing the Serpent's Pass and their shit got wrecked Suki fished Toph out of the water she thought it was Sokka and went 'oh my hero' and kissed her on the cheek. I'd say she was joking but when she goes 'you can just let me drown now' when she realizes it's not Sokka might be evidence to the contrary.

Wait shit never mind I completely forgot that Sokka and Suki were together
I think having Toph's daughter appear in the series with such an important role may be some sort of retribution. I mean, the Toph-Sokka ship was teased sometimes (well, Toph teased it, Sokka was just like "erhm ok meat") and at the end of the series, she was just like "yep i'm still here".
Plus, anyone notice she's voiced by Mindy Sterling? She was Frau Farbissina from Austin Powers?

"Release the Avatar"
"RELEASING THE AVATAR"
There is an official continuation of "Last Airbender" in form of a 3 part comic: The Promise Trilogy.
It looks pretty decent and deals with Zukos troubles remaking the fire nation.
In The Promise, Toph opens a metal bending school.
Someone on /co/ theorized that she has drunken sex with her students four or five times a week, so who knows who the father is?
This theory could actually be plausible, which worries me. I doubt that's what happened, but with her personality I wouldn't be surprised.

Although, ignoring that theory, I doubt it's Sokka.

Dreamworks face?
I doubt it will be addressed in the Promise, but I hope Toph makes up with her parents. :(
On the subject of The Promise...does Aang/Katara calling each other "sweetie" creep anyone else out? I've always hated that phrase. >:(
